[00:00:02] [SPEAKER_08]: This is a Bramble Jam Podcast.

[00:00:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Live from the North Pole, it's time for Christmas Morning, the daily show where every day is

[00:00:21] [SPEAKER_08]: Christmas.

[00:00:22] [SPEAKER_07]: Here are your hosts, Brand and Scott.

[00:00:28] [SPEAKER_07]: And also Shannon.

[00:00:33] [SPEAKER_08]: Well, well, well, hello everybody!

[00:00:35] [SPEAKER_08]: Happy 25th of August!

[00:00:38] [SPEAKER_08]: It's your boy Brand here with my boy Scotty.

[00:00:42] [SPEAKER_08]: Scotty, Merry Christmas!

[00:00:43] [SPEAKER_07]: Merry Christmas!

[00:00:44] [SPEAKER_07]: I'm your boy now?

[00:00:45] [SPEAKER_07]: You're my boy.

[00:00:46] [SPEAKER_07]: Oh, I like that.

[00:00:47] [SPEAKER_07]: You're my boy Blue.

[00:00:48] [SPEAKER_07]: You're my boy Blue.

[00:00:48] [SPEAKER_07]: Happy Christmas!

[00:00:49] [SPEAKER_07]: Happy party episode, Brand.

[00:00:51] [SPEAKER_07]: It's great to be back.

[00:00:53] [SPEAKER_07]: This is one of the most fun episodes we do each month.

[00:00:56] [SPEAKER_08]: And it's nice when it falls on a weekend, you know, because it's far enough removed

[00:01:00] [SPEAKER_08]: from last episode.

[00:01:01] [SPEAKER_08]: It's smack dab in the middle between two Wednesday episodes.

[00:01:04] [SPEAKER_08]: So it's nice when that happens.

[00:01:05] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I also like that we don't have to compete with all the other regular podcasts that

[00:01:09] [SPEAKER_07]: drop episodes during the week.

[00:01:11] [SPEAKER_07]: Very few do them on the weekend.

[00:01:12] [SPEAKER_08]: That's true.

[00:01:13] [SPEAKER_08]: We just like we're competing with like Jesus today.

[00:01:16] [SPEAKER_08]: So you know, Sunday church, that type of thing, you know, people have to decide

[00:01:20] [SPEAKER_08]: whether or not they're going to listen to our show or go to church in the morning.

[00:01:23] [SPEAKER_08]: It's tough.

[00:01:23] [SPEAKER_08]: It's a tough decision.

[00:01:24] [SPEAKER_07]: Do you think anyone's ever listened to our show in church?

[00:01:27] [SPEAKER_07]: I don't know.

[00:01:28] [SPEAKER_07]: Please let us know.

[00:01:29] [SPEAKER_07]: I don't think we can encourage that kind of behavior.

[00:01:33] [SPEAKER_07]: But that would be something, wouldn't it?

[00:01:34] [SPEAKER_08]: It would be something.

[00:01:36] [SPEAKER_08]: It would be something.

[00:01:36] [SPEAKER_08]: And listen, I don't know.

[00:01:37] [SPEAKER_08]: I don't know.

[00:01:38] [SPEAKER_08]: Maybe it inspires you to be better person.

[00:01:41] [SPEAKER_08]: You know why I'm inspired today?

[00:01:43] [SPEAKER_07]: Why is that?

[00:01:44] [SPEAKER_07]: Because Shannon's with us again.

[00:01:45] [SPEAKER_07]: Hi, Shannon.

[00:01:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Hi.

[00:01:48] [SPEAKER_03]: Hey, yeah, I missed being in the heat of Greenville with you guys in person.

[00:01:54] [SPEAKER_03]: I really did.

[00:01:55] [SPEAKER_03]: I really missed.

[00:01:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, that's so sweet of you.

[00:01:58] [SPEAKER_03]: So I was missing not just my spirit.

[00:02:00] [SPEAKER_03]: I heard the creepy voice you did.

[00:02:02] [SPEAKER_03]: It was fantastic.

[00:02:03] [SPEAKER_03]: I hope that's not what my spirit sounds like.

[00:02:05] [SPEAKER_07]: Why am I not remembering this?

[00:02:07] [SPEAKER_07]: It was a month ago.

[00:02:08] [SPEAKER_08]: It was a month ago, Scotty.

[00:02:09] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, it's crazy that it was a month ago, Brandon, because I think there's still laundry

[00:02:13] [SPEAKER_07]: in the corner of my room from Bramble Fest that I haven't done yet.

[00:02:16] [SPEAKER_07]: I should probably get to that.

[00:02:18] [SPEAKER_08]: We'll get to it by get to it by next Bramble Fest and we'll be good.

[00:02:22] [SPEAKER_07]: How many times you get to wear a Hawaiian Christmas shirt?

[00:02:24] [SPEAKER_07]: Like it just doesn't come up in rotation.

[00:02:26] [SPEAKER_08]: Well, that's something, though, that you can control, Scotty.

[00:02:28] [SPEAKER_08]: That's not it's not like somebody's being like, you can't do it.

[00:02:31] [SPEAKER_08]: You're choosing not to.

[00:02:33] [SPEAKER_03]: It really is.

[00:02:34] [SPEAKER_07]: Hawaiian shirts make me look extra fat and jolly.

[00:02:37] [SPEAKER_07]: And that's not really the look I'm going for.

[00:02:39] [SPEAKER_08]: Wow. False.

[00:02:40] [SPEAKER_08]: That is not true.

[00:02:42] [SPEAKER_08]: You get out of here with that.

[00:02:43] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, it's the person that wears it, right?

[00:02:44] [SPEAKER_07]: That's right. But Shannon, we're thrilled to have you here.

[00:02:47] [SPEAKER_07]: And it's been too long.

[00:02:48] [SPEAKER_07]: And we're going to make up for that today.

[00:02:50] [SPEAKER_08]: We sure are.

[00:02:51] [SPEAKER_08]: We got a jam packed show, Scotty.

[00:02:53] [SPEAKER_08]: And so let's not delay any further.

[00:02:55] [SPEAKER_08]: Let's get straight to the goodness that is the mailbag.

[00:03:00] [SPEAKER_08]: That's so full of stuff, Scotty.

[00:03:02] [SPEAKER_07]: No, no, no. We don't start party episodes with the mailbag.

[00:03:05] [SPEAKER_07]: The party is a mailbag.

[00:03:07] [SPEAKER_07]: We always start the party episode with a countdown.

[00:03:10] [SPEAKER_08]: I'm out of practice. I'm out of practice.

[00:03:12] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, that's right.

[00:03:18] [SPEAKER_08]: Four months until Christmas.

[00:03:23] [SPEAKER_07]: Four months. Is that true?

[00:03:24] [SPEAKER_07]: I'm double checking on my hands here.

[00:03:26] [SPEAKER_07]: Is it five or is it four?

[00:03:27] [SPEAKER_03]: No, it's four.

[00:03:29] [SPEAKER_08]: Wow. September, October, November.

[00:03:31] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, August and September, September, October, October, November, November.

[00:03:34] [SPEAKER_07]: That's four. I got four fingers held up here.

[00:03:37] [SPEAKER_07]: That's crazy.

[00:03:37] [SPEAKER_08]: However you do it, it's four.

[00:03:39] [SPEAKER_08]: It's wild. All right.

[00:03:40] [SPEAKER_08]: Well, that's exciting.

[00:03:41] [SPEAKER_08]: It just seemed shockingly low.

[00:03:44] [SPEAKER_07]: Shannon, you came and joined us up here at the North Pole.

[00:03:46] [SPEAKER_07]: Brian and I this morning did our normal weekly episode.

[00:03:50] [SPEAKER_07]: And we were talking about it just feels different in the air.

[00:03:53] [SPEAKER_07]: Are you noticing it as well, like as we're getting toward Christmas here?

[00:03:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah. I mean, in the stores, I'm seeing Christmas stuff.

[00:04:00] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, obviously, you start to see a mixture of Halloween and Christmas.

[00:04:03] [SPEAKER_03]: And that's when you know, like it's coming.

[00:04:07] [SPEAKER_03]: We need to we need to start preparing.

[00:04:09] [SPEAKER_03]: We need to get going.

[00:04:10] [SPEAKER_03]: We need to do all the things. You know what I mean?

[00:04:13] [SPEAKER_03]: So I am feeling it for sure.

[00:04:15] [SPEAKER_07]: We had some family friends in town a couple of weeks ago.

[00:04:18] [SPEAKER_07]: And as a joke for their kids, I put up our Christmas tree in the basement

[00:04:22] [SPEAKER_07]: because we always joke that we never get to spend Christmas with them.

[00:04:25] [SPEAKER_07]: So I put it up and I was going to take it down.

[00:04:28] [SPEAKER_07]: And I was looking at it and I said, yeah, leave it.

[00:04:30] [SPEAKER_07]: It's almost September.

[00:04:31] [SPEAKER_07]: Why would I take it down now?

[00:04:33] [SPEAKER_07]: That just seems silly. I know that is silly.

[00:04:36] [SPEAKER_08]: This and this is how it starts, Scotty.

[00:04:37] [SPEAKER_08]: You leave it up one time and then it never goes down.

[00:04:41] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah. But then my daughter had a friend over for a sleepover last weekend.

[00:04:44] [SPEAKER_07]: And it's the first time the girl's been to our house.

[00:04:46] [SPEAKER_07]: And she said, why do you have a Christmas tree up?

[00:04:49] [SPEAKER_07]: And I was like, we'll get to another time.

[00:04:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Don't worry about it because I'm Christmas Scotty.

[00:04:53] [SPEAKER_07]: That is true. Yeah.

[00:04:54] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah. You need to hand her a business,

[00:04:56] [SPEAKER_08]: a Christmas morning business card with a QR code to come on.

[00:04:59] [SPEAKER_07]: Eleven year olds, they really respond well to business.

[00:05:02] [SPEAKER_08]: That's their that's their favorite type of reading material.

[00:05:06] [SPEAKER_07]: So we have a lot of content to get to today.

[00:05:10] [SPEAKER_07]: And I want to just kind of level set here.

[00:05:14] [SPEAKER_07]: We've gotten a lot of emails over the last couple of months,

[00:05:16] [SPEAKER_07]: and we had a lot of submissions for July that I was not able

[00:05:20] [SPEAKER_07]: for the July party episode specifically that I wasn't able to get to

[00:05:24] [SPEAKER_07]: because we were doing in-person stuff at Bramble Fest.

[00:05:27] [SPEAKER_07]: So some of these have been in the inbox for well over a month,

[00:05:31] [SPEAKER_07]: maybe even a little bit longer.

[00:05:33] [SPEAKER_07]: And a lot of them are talking about, hey, I found Christmas here.

[00:05:36] [SPEAKER_07]: This is what I'm seeing.

[00:05:38] [SPEAKER_07]: And I thought this would be a great time to do them.

[00:05:40] [SPEAKER_07]: So I've been holding on to some of them for that reason.

[00:05:43] [SPEAKER_07]: It makes it a little difficult to have an audio podcast

[00:05:45] [SPEAKER_07]: talking about pictures of Christmas.

[00:05:48] [SPEAKER_07]: But what we want to really convey here is the excitement

[00:05:51] [SPEAKER_07]: and the joy that everyone is feeling.

[00:05:53] [SPEAKER_07]: I'm going to put all of these photos on Instagram

[00:05:56] [SPEAKER_07]: probably the night before this episode drops to make sure

[00:05:59] [SPEAKER_07]: they are there for everybody.

[00:06:02] [SPEAKER_07]: So, Brian and Shannon, it's up to us to really paint a word picture

[00:06:06] [SPEAKER_07]: for the photos that we're seeing as we read these.

[00:06:09] [SPEAKER_07]: Does that sound good to you?

[00:06:10] [SPEAKER_08]: But we're professionals.

[00:06:12] [SPEAKER_08]: We we we are going to paint such a picture with our words.

[00:06:15] [SPEAKER_07]: OK, well, normally when we do these sections,

[00:06:19] [SPEAKER_07]: we have Brian sing some sort of musical intro for each one.

[00:06:23] [SPEAKER_07]: The first one, I don't even know what to call it.

[00:06:26] [SPEAKER_07]: So let's do this one first.

[00:06:28] [SPEAKER_07]: This is an email and an audio clip

[00:06:31] [SPEAKER_07]: that I got from David Hatfield and Frank Napier,

[00:06:34] [SPEAKER_07]: both very good friends of the show.

[00:06:36] [SPEAKER_07]: They sent us in an audio clip talking about how our podcast

[00:06:40] [SPEAKER_07]: brought them together as friends in real life.

[00:06:43] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, wow.

[00:06:44] [SPEAKER_06]: Good morning, Scott, Brian and Shannon.

[00:06:47] [SPEAKER_06]: Frank Napier here from Richwood, Ohio.

[00:06:49] [SPEAKER_06]: I'm here with your local Santa that you guys know, Mr. David Hatfield.

[00:06:54] [SPEAKER_05]: That's me straight from the Charles W.

[00:06:57] [SPEAKER_05]: Howard Santa School.

[00:06:58] [SPEAKER_05]: And we wanted to tell you about how the Christmas morning podcast

[00:07:03] [SPEAKER_05]: brought us together as friends.

[00:07:05] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, so October of last year, I was listening to an episode

[00:07:08] [SPEAKER_06]: where you guys had premiered Mr. David here and he was talking

[00:07:13] [SPEAKER_06]: about going to the Santa school.

[00:07:15] [SPEAKER_06]: And I can't remember, honestly, what kind of gave me the clues.

[00:07:19] [SPEAKER_06]: But I'm like, hey, this guy sounds like a guy who lives around me

[00:07:23] [SPEAKER_06]: here in Richwood, Ohio.

[00:07:26] [SPEAKER_06]: So I, of course, as a sleuth, I begin, you know, digging into Facebook

[00:07:30] [SPEAKER_06]: and and I found out he was a local teacher here in Richwood.

[00:07:34] [SPEAKER_06]: The rest, I'll let you David tell you after I messaged him.

[00:07:37] [SPEAKER_05]: And he can kind of go from there.

[00:07:39] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I had gotten this message off the Facebook messenger

[00:07:42] [SPEAKER_05]: and I didn't know who it was from.

[00:07:44] [SPEAKER_05]: I didn't get back to him for a couple of months.

[00:07:46] [SPEAKER_05]: And then I looked at my own.

[00:07:47] [SPEAKER_05]: I better reply back.

[00:07:49] [SPEAKER_05]: And once I sent it back to him and he was talking about how much

[00:07:53] [SPEAKER_05]: he's a big Christmas fan and he had enjoyed the podcast.

[00:07:56] [SPEAKER_05]: And it was just nice because this town's barely larger than Mayberry.

[00:08:01] [SPEAKER_05]: And it was just fun to know that there was another person

[00:08:04] [SPEAKER_05]: in this small town that listened to your podcast, too,

[00:08:07] [SPEAKER_05]: and was a Christmas nut just like me.

[00:08:10] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I thought that there's not a chance that there's somebody as big

[00:08:13] [SPEAKER_06]: as a Christmas lover as I am.

[00:08:15] [SPEAKER_06]: But sure enough, there's two nuts here in central Ohio.

[00:08:19] [SPEAKER_06]: Again, this budding friendship

[00:08:21] [SPEAKER_06]: has given David and I some opportunities as well.

[00:08:24] [SPEAKER_06]: So one of our local youth here, college students, he started back in COVID time.

[00:08:29] [SPEAKER_06]: We have a nice local park here and it's got a little lake on it.

[00:08:32] [SPEAKER_06]: And he started to do Christmas lights again as a way to bring,

[00:08:36] [SPEAKER_06]: you know, our small town together during during the peak of COVID

[00:08:40] [SPEAKER_06]: with all the craziness and chaos, of course.

[00:08:43] [SPEAKER_06]: But this young man approached me knowing that I was a Christmas nut

[00:08:47] [SPEAKER_06]: on if I wanted to be a part of the committee for Richwood Christmas Lights.

[00:08:52] [SPEAKER_06]: So, of course, I accepted, you know, gleefully and super excited.

[00:08:56] [SPEAKER_06]: And the first person I thought of was Mr.

[00:08:58] [SPEAKER_06]: David here to join the committee because what's better than one Christmas nut?

[00:09:02] [SPEAKER_06]: Obviously, two Christmas nuts.

[00:09:04] [SPEAKER_05]: We are two Christmas morning people that are,

[00:09:08] [SPEAKER_05]: you know, using our powers of Christmas for good.

[00:09:13] [SPEAKER_06]: I don't know. I don't know about that.

[00:09:14] [SPEAKER_06]: I don't know if it's all good.

[00:09:16] [SPEAKER_06]: But what is fun is, again, it's awesome that, you know,

[00:09:19] [SPEAKER_06]: Christmas morning podcasts have brought us together.

[00:09:22] [SPEAKER_06]: I will say, you know, I have, you know, a lot of friends,

[00:09:25] [SPEAKER_06]: and not all of them understand my passion or appreciate my love of Christmas

[00:09:29] [SPEAKER_06]: or that I will literally listen to Christmas music all year.

[00:09:33] [SPEAKER_06]: But I know that, you know, I can I can text David or give him a call

[00:09:36] [SPEAKER_06]: or see him at these meetings and we can kind of geek out.

[00:09:40] [SPEAKER_06]: And it's kind of cool to discuss the podcast and, you know,

[00:09:43] [SPEAKER_06]: what did you guys talk about today?

[00:09:45] [SPEAKER_06]: You know, how crazy that Scott and Brant is and, you know, all that fun stuff.

[00:09:48] [SPEAKER_06]: We're just having fun, of course. But.

[00:09:50] [SPEAKER_05]: Right. Just take it from two Christmas nuts.

[00:09:52] [SPEAKER_05]: We appreciate listening to you two Christmas nuts every week

[00:09:56] [SPEAKER_05]: keeping us in the Christmas spirit, in the Christmas mood.

[00:09:59] [SPEAKER_05]: And we just thought we needed to send you a message along the way,

[00:10:03] [SPEAKER_05]: telling you that, hey, your podcast, bringing friends together

[00:10:06] [SPEAKER_05]: and spreading Christmas cheer.

[00:10:08] [SPEAKER_05]: And it's just fun being a listener of yours

[00:10:11] [SPEAKER_05]: and finding my tribe, so to speak, and finding a tribe member here

[00:10:16] [SPEAKER_05]: real close to home.

[00:10:18] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, excellent. Well, thanks again, guys.

[00:10:20] [SPEAKER_06]: And can't wait to hear the Christmas episode come out.

[00:10:24] [SPEAKER_06]: And then, of course, we'll see next Wednesday.

[00:10:26] [SPEAKER_06]: And Merry Christmas.

[00:10:29] [SPEAKER_07]: Oh, wow.

[00:10:31] [SPEAKER_07]: David and Frank, thank you so much for sending this.

[00:10:34] [SPEAKER_07]: It reminded me that I don't want to say there's real world consequences

[00:10:38] [SPEAKER_07]: because consequences is not the word that I'm searching for.

[00:10:40] [SPEAKER_07]: But it's amazing to think that because of something that we do,

[00:10:44] [SPEAKER_07]: it brought two people together in real life.

[00:10:48] [SPEAKER_07]: And look at this photo, Shannon, look at the smile on these guys.

[00:10:51] [SPEAKER_03]: It's like Kismet, I guess you would say, right? Yeah.

[00:10:55] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah. You know what, Brian, I'm seeing a Hallmark movie script here.

[00:10:59] [SPEAKER_08]: I think so.

[00:11:00] [SPEAKER_08]: I think two people listen to a Christmas podcast are inspired by friendship.

[00:11:04] [SPEAKER_08]: I think that look at look at us, Scotty, look at what we've done.

[00:11:08] [SPEAKER_08]: Our friendship is inspired of their friendships.

[00:11:10] [SPEAKER_07]: I love this. I love this so much.

[00:11:12] [SPEAKER_07]: Thank you both for sending this in.

[00:11:13] [SPEAKER_07]: It was really fun to hear you just just even handing the phone back and forth.

[00:11:19] [SPEAKER_07]: I could just feel the excitement and the joy that they were sharing.

[00:11:22] [SPEAKER_07]: So really gave me the warm and fuzzy, Shannon.

[00:11:25] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, I love them, too.

[00:11:26] [SPEAKER_03]: And to think that some people don't take this podcast seriously,

[00:11:30] [SPEAKER_03]: send this send this episode to Dan. That's right.

[00:11:33] [SPEAKER_03]: That's all I have to say. That's right.

[00:11:34] [SPEAKER_07]: That's very true.

[00:11:35] [SPEAKER_07]: How many friends has Dan made through his podcast?

[00:11:37] [SPEAKER_08]: Well, he's lost. He's lost one.

[00:11:39] [SPEAKER_08]: I know that much.

[00:11:41] [SPEAKER_07]: That's funny.

[00:11:42] [SPEAKER_07]: So that was the uncategorized entry.

[00:11:46] [SPEAKER_07]: I don't even I wouldn't even know how to go back and apply a category to it.

[00:11:50] [SPEAKER_07]: But thank you for sending that in.

[00:11:51] [SPEAKER_07]: If anybody else has met somebody in real life through this podcast,

[00:11:55] [SPEAKER_07]: please let me know. It's the friendship category.

[00:11:57] [SPEAKER_07]: It's very specific. Friendship.

[00:12:00] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah. The next one we do have a category for.

[00:12:04] [SPEAKER_07]: OK, this is Christmas in the Wild.

[00:12:08] [SPEAKER_04]: Christmas in the wild.

[00:12:13] [SPEAKER_07]: The only thing that I think would have improved

[00:12:16] [SPEAKER_07]: that would be to plug the electric guitar into something, but it's all good.

[00:12:20] [SPEAKER_03]: I got the feeling that he was going for there.

[00:12:23] [SPEAKER_03]: You know, there's other businesses around, you know, 80s rock vibe for sure.

[00:12:28] [SPEAKER_07]: I felt like I was backstage at a concert.

[00:12:30] [SPEAKER_07]: Oh, just kind of warming up.

[00:12:32] [SPEAKER_03]: It's like Kiss Kiss himself.

[00:12:35] [SPEAKER_07]: Guess what? Four people.

[00:12:37] [SPEAKER_03]: Christmas in the wild.

[00:12:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, there we go.

[00:12:44] [SPEAKER_07]: Our first email today is from Jill Carter and Jill is in the UK.

[00:12:48] [SPEAKER_07]: She says, just a quick message to let you know that Christmas

[00:12:51] [SPEAKER_07]: has officially arrived in the UK.

[00:12:53] [SPEAKER_07]: I went to my local B&M, which is a shop that sells anything and everything

[00:12:58] [SPEAKER_07]: and found some Christmas snacks on the shelves.

[00:13:01] [SPEAKER_07]: I thought I'd share the happiness with you in the form

[00:13:03] [SPEAKER_07]: of some badly taken photos while trying to chase my son around the store.

[00:13:07] [SPEAKER_07]: Enjoy from Jill and Xavier.

[00:13:10] [SPEAKER_07]: The photos here are of my favorite thing to see in the stores,

[00:13:15] [SPEAKER_07]: which is Christmas candy.

[00:13:17] [SPEAKER_08]: I think the thing I'm confused, I don't snowman soup.

[00:13:21] [SPEAKER_08]: I don't know what that means.

[00:13:22] [SPEAKER_07]: I think snowman soup is a funny name for hot chocolate.

[00:13:25] [SPEAKER_08]: OK, sure. I love that snowman soup.

[00:13:28] [SPEAKER_08]: That's nice. Oh, you're right.

[00:13:29] [SPEAKER_07]: Snowman soup. And look at the

[00:13:31] [SPEAKER_07]: these these photos, obviously, as I mentioned, are going to be online.

[00:13:35] [SPEAKER_07]: Look at the picture on the Reese's box.

[00:13:37] [SPEAKER_07]: Oh, my God. I said it like you, Brand.

[00:13:39] [SPEAKER_07]: Oh, Reese's Reese's Reese's Reese's.

[00:13:42] [SPEAKER_07]: Look at the photo on the Reese's box of Santa there.

[00:13:44] [SPEAKER_08]: Reese's. You're looking at the Reese's and it's great.

[00:13:48] [SPEAKER_08]: That Santa is having a great time.

[00:13:50] [SPEAKER_08]: What's he doing? Is he holding a selfie stick?

[00:13:52] [SPEAKER_08]: I can't tell what he's doing. He's holding a selfie stick.

[00:13:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Looks like he is. It looks like he is.

[00:13:57] [SPEAKER_03]: And, you know, this is like the good candy.

[00:13:59] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, that they have overseas, you know, over the pond, as they say in the UK.

[00:14:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Like the legit candy, not like the US version.

[00:14:09] [SPEAKER_03]: This is like even better.

[00:14:10] [SPEAKER_03]: So send us some, you know, we would love to sample it.

[00:14:14] [SPEAKER_07]: It's even more colorful, Shannon.

[00:14:16] [SPEAKER_07]: Like just the packaging makes me feel eight years old again

[00:14:20] [SPEAKER_07]: and trying to do that thing where you scheme like,

[00:14:23] [SPEAKER_07]: how can I get my parents to buy this for me?

[00:14:25] [SPEAKER_07]: And it just looks great.

[00:14:26] [SPEAKER_07]: I I can almost smell it.

[00:14:28] [SPEAKER_07]: I'm picturing myself standing in front of this.

[00:14:30] [SPEAKER_07]: And it's not going to be long before we start seeing it here, obviously.

[00:14:33] [SPEAKER_08]: The nice thing is, Scotty, is you can you can buy it now.

[00:14:36] [SPEAKER_08]: You don't have to call your parents.

[00:14:38] [SPEAKER_08]: You can just get it right now, which is great.

[00:14:40] [SPEAKER_07]: Well, the universe has deemed that untenable to me because of my diabetes.

[00:14:45] [SPEAKER_07]: But you guys could enjoy it and then you can explain the taste to me.

[00:14:49] [SPEAKER_08]: OK? OK, yes.

[00:14:51] [SPEAKER_08]: I come to and I'll just like breathe it on you to like,

[00:14:54] [SPEAKER_08]: I'll eat a Reese's and then you can smell it.

[00:14:57] [SPEAKER_08]: It's like eating it.

[00:14:58] [SPEAKER_07]: I'm going to pass on that one.

[00:15:00] [SPEAKER_07]: OK, listen.

[00:15:01] [SPEAKER_07]: OK, we'll get there.

[00:15:02] [SPEAKER_07]: Shannon, would you mind reading our next email?

[00:15:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. And speaking of, you know, the good versions of the candy

[00:15:08] [SPEAKER_03]: that aren't from the US, this one is from Jimmy Erickson.

[00:15:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Thank you for a holly jolly podcast

[00:15:13] [SPEAKER_03]: that keeps my Christmas craves satisfied during the year.

[00:15:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Now we're starting to get some Christmas 2024 signs in Sweden.

[00:15:20] [SPEAKER_03]: Sweden. The Yulascum.

[00:15:22] [SPEAKER_03]: Is it Yulascum? I think it's Yulascum.

[00:15:24] [SPEAKER_03]: The Yulascum special edition flavor for this year has revealed

[00:15:28] [SPEAKER_03]: Christmas pear or as the package says, Santa's pear a dice.

[00:15:34] [SPEAKER_07]: Pear a dice. Oh, I didn't even notice that.

[00:15:37] [SPEAKER_03]: Unfortunately, they won't be in stores until the middle of September.

[00:15:40] [SPEAKER_03]: I will keep you updated when more things show up in stores here.

[00:15:43] [SPEAKER_07]: So paradise for some reason, I could almost taste this.

[00:15:47] [SPEAKER_07]: It looks good.

[00:15:48] [SPEAKER_07]: I can obviously know what candy flavored pear tastes like.

[00:15:53] [SPEAKER_07]: I want this and I think I want it extra

[00:15:56] [SPEAKER_07]: because I know there's no way I can get it.

[00:15:58] [SPEAKER_08]: Do you see the little candies down there?

[00:16:00] [SPEAKER_08]: It kind of looks like baby Yoda.

[00:16:02] [SPEAKER_07]: Oh, it does look like it looks like baby Yoda or like a Yoda

[00:16:05] [SPEAKER_07]: and a cat were combined by AI or something. That's weird.

[00:16:09] [SPEAKER_07]: It's like the little green and then the white blanket. Yeah.

[00:16:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah, I see that. That is interesting.

[00:16:13] [SPEAKER_03]: And it even has eyes.

[00:16:15] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah. Yeah. I prefer my candy not to have anthropomorphic features,

[00:16:19] [SPEAKER_07]: but this looks so cool.

[00:16:21] [SPEAKER_07]: I just wish there was a way I could get my hands on some.

[00:16:24] [SPEAKER_07]: I don't know.

[00:16:25] [SPEAKER_07]: I'll keep I'll keep my eye on some under the table trading sites or something.

[00:16:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Is it in the show's budget to, you know,

[00:16:32] [SPEAKER_03]: maybe go over some money for shipping and

[00:16:36] [SPEAKER_03]: feed is to give me the time to come over to the studio

[00:16:41] [SPEAKER_03]: slash Scott slash my address?

[00:16:43] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, yeah, we're happy to sample them for the show.

[00:16:46] [SPEAKER_07]: I mean, you know, that would be cool.

[00:16:48] [SPEAKER_07]: Brian, look at Santa on the packaging here.

[00:16:50] [SPEAKER_07]: It's a nice Santa.

[00:16:51] [SPEAKER_07]: Santa's just chill it out with some tea.

[00:16:52] [SPEAKER_07]: I'm very confused by the branding of this, to be honest with you,

[00:16:56] [SPEAKER_08]: but I like it.

[00:16:57] [SPEAKER_08]: I don't understand aside from Santa being on it.

[00:17:01] [SPEAKER_08]: What makes these Santa candies?

[00:17:05] [SPEAKER_08]: But I'm here for it. It's great. No idea.

[00:17:07] [SPEAKER_07]: I love the packaging.

[00:17:08] [SPEAKER_07]: Northern Lights, the whole thing. So check out that photo.

[00:17:11] [SPEAKER_08]: He's in paradise. Remember? Oh, I understand that part for sure.

[00:17:16] [SPEAKER_08]: That is the paradise.

[00:17:17] [SPEAKER_08]: That is definitely ringing, ringing true. Yes.

[00:17:20] [SPEAKER_07]: Our next email today is from Jennifer Clemmer.

[00:17:22] [SPEAKER_07]: This was sent back in late June.

[00:17:24] [SPEAKER_07]: I'm sorry it's taken me so long, Jennifer, to get to it.

[00:17:26] [SPEAKER_07]: She says, I'm on my vacation in the Great Smoky Mountains and in our cabin,

[00:17:30] [SPEAKER_07]: I spotted some Christmas before I left for vacation.

[00:17:33] [SPEAKER_07]: I went to a store near me in Christmas Town, USA,

[00:17:36] [SPEAKER_07]: which is also called McAdenville, North Carolina.

[00:17:39] [SPEAKER_07]: And I spotted Christmas.

[00:17:41] [SPEAKER_07]: I have found some Christmas stores here in Tennessee and I plan to hit them up.

[00:17:44] [SPEAKER_07]: And I'll send more pics of those later.

[00:17:46] [SPEAKER_07]: Thank you for the continued Christmas spirit year round.

[00:17:49] [SPEAKER_07]: And the photos that I'm seeing here, pretty standard fare for a Christmas

[00:17:54] [SPEAKER_07]: store, ornaments hanging on the wall, a tree.

[00:17:56] [SPEAKER_07]: The one that's really standing out to me is the last one.

[00:17:59] [SPEAKER_07]: Shannon, I don't think that I see I've seen something like that.

[00:18:03] [SPEAKER_07]: Ice skates that are hanging on the door hook there very often.

[00:18:08] [SPEAKER_07]: And I really like it.

[00:18:09] [SPEAKER_07]: It stood out to me as something I want in my own house.

[00:18:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah, that's that's a cool decoration.

[00:18:14] [SPEAKER_03]: I feel like all of these pictures, I can smell them.

[00:18:17] [SPEAKER_03]: The smell of like cloves and like that warm Christmasy spice smell

[00:18:24] [SPEAKER_03]: that you get, like when you go into a gift shop and they have like the candles around.

[00:18:28] [SPEAKER_03]: Like that's that's the vibe I'm getting from these pictures.

[00:18:31] [SPEAKER_07]: Now that you're saying it, I can smell the same thing, almost like not quite

[00:18:35] [SPEAKER_07]: potpourri, but these stores have a similar smell to them.

[00:18:39] [SPEAKER_07]: And boy, now that you're saying it, I want to experience it.

[00:18:43] [SPEAKER_07]: So, Jennifer, thank you for sending these in.

[00:18:45] [SPEAKER_07]: I hope you picked up some of these.

[00:18:47] [SPEAKER_07]: Let us know how that turned out.

[00:18:49] [SPEAKER_07]: I'm sorry that, you know, since it took me this long to get to an email in June,

[00:18:53] [SPEAKER_07]: you have until 2027 to respond.

[00:18:55] [SPEAKER_08]: Fair, fair.

[00:18:56] [SPEAKER_08]: But once once you don't respond, there's nothing we can do about it.

[00:19:00] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, Shannon, the next email is from Anna Rustic and she went vintage hunting.

[00:19:06] [SPEAKER_07]: So I wanted to leave this one for you because I know that's

[00:19:09] [SPEAKER_07]: one of your specialties. Would you mind reading it?

[00:19:11] [SPEAKER_03]: I wanted to share my Christmas sighting.

[00:19:13] [SPEAKER_03]: I ventured to a small little antique shop on Burnham Wood, Wisconsin today

[00:19:19] [SPEAKER_03]: or in Burnham Wood, Wisconsin today for the Christmas in July event.

[00:19:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Vendors had Christmas treasures added to their booths and the shop had filled

[00:19:27] [SPEAKER_03]: stocking prize drawings as well as Christmas cookies for shoppers.

[00:19:32] [SPEAKER_03]: As a girl who loved vintage Christmas, this really brought the spirit up.

[00:19:36] [SPEAKER_03]: And of course, I left with a bag of goodies to add to my collection.

[00:19:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Not that I needed it.

[00:19:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Best part is I'll be surprised once I decorate this fall.

[00:19:44] [SPEAKER_03]: I love it. I love the pink tree, too.

[00:19:46] [SPEAKER_03]: I love all of the ornaments and all of the little vintage stuff

[00:19:51] [SPEAKER_03]: in these pictures. So cute.

[00:19:53] [SPEAKER_08]: I just hope that the cookies aren't vintage.

[00:19:55] [SPEAKER_08]: You know, hopefully those are the new new newly made.

[00:19:59] [SPEAKER_08]: But I don't know. The Santa is really catching my eye.

[00:20:01] [SPEAKER_08]: That is a I've never quite seen a Santa like this.

[00:20:05] [SPEAKER_08]: It's like a stuffed Santa with the that looks like it's in a snow suit,

[00:20:09] [SPEAKER_08]: like in the Christmas story.

[00:20:11] [SPEAKER_08]: Yes, or a banana. It's a red banana.

[00:20:14] [SPEAKER_03]: He's got the face, but the body does not match.

[00:20:17] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, yeah, it's really something.

[00:20:19] [SPEAKER_07]: Shannon, you've done a lot of vintage item buying, collecting and perusing.

[00:20:24] [SPEAKER_07]: Do you come across Christmas stuff often?

[00:20:26] [SPEAKER_03]: I do. But usually like this kind of thing,

[00:20:30] [SPEAKER_03]: you would go into a shop and you'd find a lot of this stuff.

[00:20:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Estate sales tend to have really cool, like, you know, people's

[00:20:38] [SPEAKER_03]: vintage Christmas collections for sale.

[00:20:41] [SPEAKER_03]: And those kinds of things kind of go really quickly

[00:20:44] [SPEAKER_03]: when you go to those estate sales, because everybody's in search of,

[00:20:48] [SPEAKER_03]: you know, something vintage Christmas.

[00:20:49] [SPEAKER_03]: But they're really, really cool.

[00:20:51] [SPEAKER_03]: I just I love vintage Christmas.

[00:20:53] [SPEAKER_07]: I can't go to a state sales because I figure everything's haunted.

[00:20:56] [SPEAKER_07]: That scares me. But the pink tree here is really cool.

[00:21:00] [SPEAKER_07]: It has that wildly retro feel to it.

[00:21:03] [SPEAKER_07]: I don't know when that would have been popular.

[00:21:05] [SPEAKER_07]: Would it be the 60s or 70s, Shannon?

[00:21:08] [SPEAKER_07]: Or is that more of an 80s thing?

[00:21:09] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, probably 60s, but maybe 80s too.

[00:21:12] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.

[00:21:13] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, it's weird to think that the years of my youth are now considered

[00:21:16] [SPEAKER_07]: vintage, but OK, it'll happen to you too, Bran.

[00:21:20] [SPEAKER_07]: One day your favorite bands will be on the old East Station.

[00:21:22] [SPEAKER_07]: Don't I know it? Yeah.

[00:21:23] [SPEAKER_08]: What's an old East Station?

[00:21:25] [SPEAKER_08]: I'm kidding. Yeah, exactly.

[00:21:32] [SPEAKER_07]: The next email is from Aira Evans.

[00:21:34] [SPEAKER_07]: And Aira says, I'm reporting back from my Disneyland trip last weekend.

[00:21:39] [SPEAKER_07]: I kept my eyes peeled for Christmas stuff the whole time I was there.

[00:21:42] [SPEAKER_07]: Of course, I snapped some photos to show off the year round

[00:21:45] [SPEAKER_07]: holiday store and part of the line of Mickey's Runaway Railway.

[00:21:50] [SPEAKER_07]: Sadly, I was two days early for the reopening of Haunted Mansion,

[00:21:54] [SPEAKER_07]: which is now fully decorated with the Nightmare Before Christmas

[00:21:57] [SPEAKER_07]: holiday overlay.

[00:21:58] [SPEAKER_07]: I highly recommend everyone go see that ride if they're close

[00:22:01] [SPEAKER_07]: by Disneyland or planning a trip soon.

[00:22:04] [SPEAKER_07]: It is so festive and fun.

[00:22:06] [SPEAKER_07]: Now my countdown begins to my December trip to Disneyland,

[00:22:09] [SPEAKER_07]: in which, of course, I'll take a ton of photos to share

[00:22:12] [SPEAKER_07]: how beautiful the park is during the Christmas season.

[00:22:15] [SPEAKER_07]: Bran, you used to live in Orlando.

[00:22:17] [SPEAKER_07]: I lived in Tampa and we would go to Disney every year at Christmas.

[00:22:21] [SPEAKER_07]: Gorgeous. Like all the stops are pulled out.

[00:22:23] [SPEAKER_08]: It is magical.

[00:22:24] [SPEAKER_08]: I'm actually going to Disney with my kids for the first time next month.

[00:22:27] [SPEAKER_08]: And so I don't know if Disney World will also have the

[00:22:32] [SPEAKER_08]: Haunted Mansion ride decked out for Nightmare Before Christmas.

[00:22:35] [SPEAKER_08]: I hope so. That'd be fun.

[00:22:37] [SPEAKER_08]: I would imagine. I'll try to capture it.

[00:22:39] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, capture a few of those for us.

[00:22:41] [SPEAKER_07]: Shannon, the photo that stands out like I was going to say

[00:22:43] [SPEAKER_07]: the one photo that stands out most to me is the Nutcracker

[00:22:46] [SPEAKER_07]: because it's so cool looking.

[00:22:48] [SPEAKER_07]: And I really I don't know lately, I've wanted one of these,

[00:22:51] [SPEAKER_07]: you know, life sized nutcrackers and it's really cool.

[00:22:54] [SPEAKER_07]: But the one that's really cute and got me was this little fireplace scene.

[00:22:58] [SPEAKER_07]: Oh, yeah. Pluto's dog bowl.

[00:23:00] [SPEAKER_07]: Where is that? I wonder.

[00:23:02] [SPEAKER_07]: I don't know, but it's so cute.

[00:23:04] [SPEAKER_07]: Why'd she stumble upon that?

[00:23:06] [SPEAKER_07]: I don't know. Air is good at finding this kind of stuff.

[00:23:08] [SPEAKER_07]: I also love that movie poster, the Pluto's Christmas tree.

[00:23:12] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I want that.

[00:23:13] [SPEAKER_08]: It's very cool.

[00:23:14] [SPEAKER_03]: My boyfriend, John, will be going to Disneyland in October

[00:23:17] [SPEAKER_03]: and December because he he is a crazy season pass ticket holder.

[00:23:23] [SPEAKER_03]: So he he will definitely be getting pictures, I'm sure,

[00:23:27] [SPEAKER_03]: and seeing all this stuff in person.

[00:23:29] [SPEAKER_03]: But I feel like nobody does it better than Disney in terms of like decorations

[00:23:33] [SPEAKER_03]: and just going all out.

[00:23:34] [SPEAKER_03]: So these are really, really cool.

[00:23:35] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I will say I went to Dollywood after Christmas last year

[00:23:39] [SPEAKER_08]: and their Christmas decorations were really nice.

[00:23:41] [SPEAKER_08]: But you're right.

[00:23:42] [SPEAKER_08]: There's it's tough to compete with with the magic of Disney.

[00:23:45] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I used to take my parents to downtown Disney,

[00:23:48] [SPEAKER_07]: which I believe is now called Disney Springs.

[00:23:51] [SPEAKER_07]: And they always decorated it all the way up to the nines.

[00:23:54] [SPEAKER_07]: And it was just an event just to take my parents there.

[00:23:57] [SPEAKER_07]: They loved it.

[00:23:58] [SPEAKER_07]: So thank you, Eric, for sending these in.

[00:24:00] [SPEAKER_07]: And please keep us in mind for your December trip.

[00:24:03] [SPEAKER_07]: I want to hear all about it.

[00:24:04] [SPEAKER_07]: I love that.

[00:24:05] [SPEAKER_07]: Fantastic. Thank you so much.

[00:24:06] [SPEAKER_07]: All right. I have a longer email here, so I'm going to let the lady

[00:24:10] [SPEAKER_07]: with the best voice read it.

[00:24:11] [SPEAKER_07]: Shannon, would you read this email from Chris Cavanaugh?

[00:24:13] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. Hello, Scott Brand and Shannon.

[00:24:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Hello. Love the podcast.

[00:24:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Obviously, I thought you might enjoy my field report literally from last night,

[00:24:24] [SPEAKER_03]: July 19th.

[00:24:25] [SPEAKER_03]: I made a short trek south to Toledo, Ohio and fifth slash third field

[00:24:30] [SPEAKER_03]: where the Toledo Mud Hens baseball team

[00:24:33] [SPEAKER_03]: were having their Christmas in July promotion.

[00:24:36] [SPEAKER_03]: When I arrived at the gate, I showed my ticket and was greeted by friendly

[00:24:40] [SPEAKER_03]: staff and the lovely hum of Christmas music.

[00:24:43] [SPEAKER_03]: It then handed each of us a nice ornament

[00:24:46] [SPEAKER_03]: featuring a snowman with the Mud Hens logo.

[00:24:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Most of the workers were in theme, wearing Santa hats, top hats, scarves,

[00:24:55] [SPEAKER_03]: faux ugly Christmas.

[00:24:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Hey, it was 80 degrees.

[00:24:58] [SPEAKER_03]: So no real ones, sweaters, as well as several cousin Eddie hats.

[00:25:03] [SPEAKER_03]: A table was also set up so kids could write in mail letters to Santa.

[00:25:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Muddy the Mud Hen mascot.

[00:25:10] [SPEAKER_03]: What a name with sporting a Santa coat and hat.

[00:25:13] [SPEAKER_03]: And most impressively, all of the Toledo players were wearing specially themed

[00:25:17] [SPEAKER_03]: Christmas vacation in July jerseys.

[00:25:20] [SPEAKER_03]: And of course, the game couldn't begin until Aunt Bethany was shown

[00:25:24] [SPEAKER_03]: on the giant screen shouting Playball between innings.

[00:25:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Christmas tunes blared through the loudspeakers while people danced and sang.

[00:25:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Many of the fans got in the spirit by wearing Christmas themed shirts,

[00:25:38] [SPEAKER_03]: replica jerseys, Santa hats.

[00:25:40] [SPEAKER_03]: And I even saw a guy in one of those loud red Christmas suits.

[00:25:45] [SPEAKER_03]: Unfortunately, I couldn't attend.

[00:25:47] [SPEAKER_03]: But after the game, there was a fireworks display accompanied

[00:25:50] [SPEAKER_03]: by Christmas music and festive lights.

[00:25:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Overall, I had a nice time and would go again next year,

[00:25:55] [SPEAKER_03]: especially for the cool little ornament.

[00:25:58] [SPEAKER_03]: So, guys, I think I just added a stop to your road trip next year

[00:26:02] [SPEAKER_03]: as you wind your way up from Brands House to Bronner's Christmas

[00:26:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Wonderland in Michigan.

[00:26:07] [SPEAKER_03]: You can hit Castle Noelle in Medina, Ohio, then Ralphie's house in Cleveland.

[00:26:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Take in a Mud Hen's Christmas ball game, then on up to Bronner's.

[00:26:16] [SPEAKER_07]: Love that. Well, wouldn't that be fun?

[00:26:18] [SPEAKER_08]: I love this because baseball, not a winter sport.

[00:26:22] [SPEAKER_08]: So you don't get to really celebrate Christmas with your favorite team

[00:26:26] [SPEAKER_08]: like you do like with the NBA.

[00:26:27] [SPEAKER_08]: They have Christmas Day games and oftentimes special jerseys and stuff.

[00:26:31] [SPEAKER_08]: So this is really cool.

[00:26:31] [SPEAKER_08]: I looked up the Christmas in July jersey and it's really, really cool.

[00:26:35] [SPEAKER_08]: I would like to get my myself one of these these Mud Hen jerseys.

[00:26:39] [SPEAKER_07]: Chris said he was going to send some photos.

[00:26:42] [SPEAKER_07]: But when I went to the Google Drive link, the link had died.

[00:26:45] [SPEAKER_07]: So I emailed and said, Can I get the link again?

[00:26:48] [SPEAKER_07]: So hopefully there are some photos to accompany this.

[00:26:52] [SPEAKER_07]: But it sounds like so much fun.

[00:26:53] [SPEAKER_07]: And I just like this idea of Christmas and July at a ball game,

[00:26:57] [SPEAKER_07]: because even somebody like Grumpy Dan, like you just can't get mad at this.

[00:27:01] [SPEAKER_07]: It's just a fun way to kind of deal with the fact that it's so hot

[00:27:06] [SPEAKER_07]: in the middle of July and also wearing Santa hats

[00:27:09] [SPEAKER_07]: and cousin Eddie hats in Ohio in July. That's dedication.

[00:27:13] [SPEAKER_08]: I love that. That's fantastic. Yeah.

[00:27:15] [SPEAKER_07]: All right. So that's the Christmas in the wild spottings for now.

[00:27:19] [SPEAKER_07]: Please keep sending them in. I love them.

[00:27:21] [SPEAKER_07]: Brian, could you lead us into Christmas decorating?

[00:27:26] [SPEAKER_07]: Decorate, decorate, decorate for Christmas,

[00:27:29] [SPEAKER_07]: decorate for Christmas. Yeah.

[00:27:32] [SPEAKER_07]: I see now that was good. We really warmed up.

[00:27:35] [SPEAKER_03]: OK, that was really, really good.

[00:27:37] [SPEAKER_07]: Yes, I apologize to the office next door.

[00:27:40] [SPEAKER_07]: That's a good people getting this show for this emails from Nicholas St.

[00:27:44] [SPEAKER_07]: Nick Lindsman, Merry Christmas, fellas and Shannon.

[00:27:47] [SPEAKER_07]: I snapped a few photos from the Royal Oak flea market

[00:27:50] [SPEAKER_07]: that had sections of vintage Christmas stuff,

[00:27:53] [SPEAKER_07]: and I'm hoping that Christmas fans around the world

[00:27:55] [SPEAKER_07]: will enjoy these for the Christmas party.

[00:27:57] [SPEAKER_07]: We added a few things to our personal collections as well.

[00:28:00] [SPEAKER_07]: So enjoy the photos.

[00:28:02] [SPEAKER_03]: I love these.

[00:28:04] [SPEAKER_07]: Nick sent in a bunch of photos here.

[00:28:06] [SPEAKER_07]: Again, Shannon, a lot of vintage looking stuff.

[00:28:09] [SPEAKER_07]: There's some crates of Christmas records.

[00:28:11] [SPEAKER_07]: And one of the things that I like about it, Brian,

[00:28:13] [SPEAKER_07]: is they look well loved.

[00:28:15] [SPEAKER_07]: These are not in pristine condition.

[00:28:17] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, that is a vivid coloring on that Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer vinyl.

[00:28:22] [SPEAKER_03]: I love that.

[00:28:23] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, as long as the the album itself isn't warped.

[00:28:27] [SPEAKER_07]: Some kid just listened to this Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer album

[00:28:30] [SPEAKER_07]: so much that it's all doggy and torn now.

[00:28:33] [SPEAKER_08]: I love that.

[00:28:34] [SPEAKER_08]: And there's lots of awesome like a lawn blow molds, which are really cool

[00:28:38] [SPEAKER_08]: and are tough to find now.

[00:28:40] [SPEAKER_08]: But the thing that caught my eye in this are these Kodak color

[00:28:44] [SPEAKER_08]: of Christmas flickering candle lights.

[00:28:47] [SPEAKER_08]: That's cool.

[00:28:48] [SPEAKER_08]: I didn't know that Kodak was in the Christmas light game at some point.

[00:28:52] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah. And there's nothing quite like the old Kodak retro logo

[00:28:57] [SPEAKER_08]: and that it's kind of alongside Christmas lights is really cool.

[00:29:00] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm getting a lot of 80s, 80s vibes.

[00:29:03] [SPEAKER_07]: Now, you guys don't remember this because you weren't alive.

[00:29:06] [SPEAKER_07]: But back in the early 80s, Kodak did a lot of stuff.

[00:29:09] [SPEAKER_07]: And I remember seeing it all over the place when I was a kid.

[00:29:12] [SPEAKER_07]: I don't think I've ever seen this before.

[00:29:14] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, that's cool.

[00:29:15] [SPEAKER_08]: Looks like two boxes, too. So how about it?

[00:29:18] [SPEAKER_07]: Good luck finding replacement bulbs.

[00:29:21] [SPEAKER_03]: I love the glass ornaments, too, as well.

[00:29:23] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, those are like collector items.

[00:29:26] [SPEAKER_07]: I saw that and I really thought of you, Shannon.

[00:29:28] [SPEAKER_07]: I gave a Shannon aesthetic to it.

[00:29:30] [SPEAKER_07]: And if you look at the very last photo,

[00:29:32] [SPEAKER_07]: you can see just how big this Royal Oak flea market is.

[00:29:36] [SPEAKER_07]: And wow, look at all of this Christmas stuff.

[00:29:38] [SPEAKER_07]: I don't think it's all Christmas.

[00:29:40] [SPEAKER_07]: Well, is that what it said?

[00:29:40] [SPEAKER_07]: It was the Royal Oak vintage Royal Oak flea market.

[00:29:44] [SPEAKER_07]: They had sections of vintage Christmas.

[00:29:46] [SPEAKER_07]: OK, so it wasn't all Christmas themed.

[00:29:48] [SPEAKER_07]: But man, there's a lot of stuff here.

[00:29:50] [SPEAKER_08]: I don't go to a lot of flea markets,

[00:29:52] [SPEAKER_08]: but this is inspiring me to get out there and flee it up.

[00:29:55] [SPEAKER_08]: Flee it up.

[00:29:55] [SPEAKER_08]: It's a tough it's a tough word.

[00:29:57] [SPEAKER_08]: I don't know why they they want it.

[00:29:59] [SPEAKER_08]: It's like they don't want you to come. Yeah.

[00:30:02] [SPEAKER_07]: The word flea is doing a lot of heavy lifting here.

[00:30:04] [SPEAKER_07]: I'm not really into flea markets, but yeah.

[00:30:06] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah. But very cool.

[00:30:07] [SPEAKER_07]: Thank you, Nick, for sending these in.

[00:30:09] [SPEAKER_07]: I really like the blow molds,

[00:30:11] [SPEAKER_07]: the ones that are the candles that are, I don't know,

[00:30:14] [SPEAKER_07]: three feet high, maybe my neighbors next door used to have these

[00:30:18] [SPEAKER_07]: in front of their house and it just reminded me of them and made me smile.

[00:30:21] [SPEAKER_08]: They're worth a pretty penny these days on the eBay.

[00:30:24] [SPEAKER_07]: So are they really? Yeah. Wow.

[00:30:26] [SPEAKER_07]: The next email is from Joe W.

[00:30:29] [SPEAKER_07]: Could you read it to us, Shannon?

[00:30:30] [SPEAKER_03]: In my thrift store travels in July,

[00:30:33] [SPEAKER_03]: I came across a vintage light up metal Christmas tree.

[00:30:36] [SPEAKER_03]: When I spotted the tree, it didn't look like much.

[00:30:39] [SPEAKER_03]: It was in a room in the thrift store where I could plug it in

[00:30:41] [SPEAKER_03]: and shut off the overhead lights.

[00:30:43] [SPEAKER_03]: And wow, when it was lit up, it looked fantastic.

[00:30:47] [SPEAKER_03]: I bought it on the spot for 15 bucks.

[00:30:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Can't wait to put it on my front lawn come Christmas.

[00:30:52] [SPEAKER_03]: It got me in the Christmas mood.

[00:30:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Attached is a picture of it unlit and one of it lit up.

[00:30:57] [SPEAKER_03]: That is really cool.

[00:30:57] [SPEAKER_03]: I like the lit up version of it looks great on the front lawn.

[00:31:01] [SPEAKER_03]: And what a good thrift find. This is really cool.

[00:31:03] [SPEAKER_07]: Joe, I actually like this quite a bit.

[00:31:05] [SPEAKER_07]: I'm not usually into vintage things,

[00:31:08] [SPEAKER_07]: but there's something about the way the green lights

[00:31:10] [SPEAKER_07]: the whole thing up that just does it for me.

[00:31:13] [SPEAKER_07]: I really love this.

[00:31:14] [SPEAKER_08]: I am deep right now in the Christmas light world.

[00:31:18] [SPEAKER_08]: And I'm adding this to my list of inspo because I really like it.

[00:31:24] [SPEAKER_07]: Inspo. Yeah, I don't know.

[00:31:25] [SPEAKER_07]: I was trying a new thing.

[00:31:26] [SPEAKER_07]: Oh, OK. I thought it was maybe something

[00:31:27] [SPEAKER_07]: I had missed that the kids were saying.

[00:31:30] [SPEAKER_08]: I don't know. I feel like it's a thing I've heard like inspo.

[00:31:32] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, yeah, inspo. Sure.

[00:31:34] [SPEAKER_07]: Well, I mean, it didn't strike me as odd.

[00:31:36] [SPEAKER_07]: It just struck me as new.

[00:31:38] [SPEAKER_07]: So I liked it.

[00:31:39] [SPEAKER_03]: I just want to know how deep you are.

[00:31:41] [SPEAKER_03]: That's that's what I want to know.

[00:31:42] [SPEAKER_08]: Deep. There's there's going to be a vlog about my Christmas.

[00:31:46] [SPEAKER_03]: Wow. I need I need to see it.

[00:31:48] [SPEAKER_07]: I hope so.

[00:31:49] [SPEAKER_07]: Are you hiring another sketchy, unlicensed, unbonded person

[00:31:52] [SPEAKER_07]: to climb up onto your roof and put lights up again this year?

[00:31:55] [SPEAKER_07]: I don't know. OK, I don't know.

[00:31:57] [SPEAKER_07]: I'll volunteer if you want to fly me down.

[00:31:59] [SPEAKER_07]: You can get me one of those spirit flights for 100 bucks

[00:32:01] [SPEAKER_07]: and I'll come down and I'll I'll be all over your roof.

[00:32:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Come on. We all know you're as sketchy as they come.

[00:32:07] [SPEAKER_07]: Speaking of unlicensed, unbonded,

[00:32:10] [SPEAKER_07]: I mean, who am I to throw stones?

[00:32:12] [SPEAKER_08]: We were all thinking it, Shannon.

[00:32:13] [SPEAKER_08]: So thanks for saying the unspoken.

[00:32:15] [SPEAKER_08]: Why do we keep inviting her back?

[00:32:17] [SPEAKER_07]: I'm just kidding. I wouldn't have it any other way.

[00:32:21] [SPEAKER_07]: Last section today, Christmas TV and movies.

[00:32:25] [SPEAKER_08]: Watch the TV.

[00:32:28] [SPEAKER_08]: Watch the movies.

[00:32:30] [SPEAKER_07]: Christmas TV and movies.

[00:32:34] [SPEAKER_07]: I'd like to hear the rest of that album.

[00:32:36] [SPEAKER_07]: That's pretty nice.

[00:32:38] [SPEAKER_07]: No shock here.

[00:32:39] [SPEAKER_07]: We have audio clips from Joe Fulton, the Christmas aficionado

[00:32:43] [SPEAKER_07]: and from Lenora Gilbert.

[00:32:45] [SPEAKER_07]: Lenora and Joe are just always so wonderful.

[00:32:47] [SPEAKER_07]: They do this amazing content for us.

[00:32:50] [SPEAKER_07]: And I don't even have to ask and they just do it.

[00:32:53] [SPEAKER_07]: I hope they know how much I appreciate both of them.

[00:32:56] [SPEAKER_07]: So Joe did a review of the 1985

[00:33:00] [SPEAKER_07]: Punky Brewster episode called Christmas Shoplifting.

[00:33:05] [SPEAKER_04]: Great.

[00:33:08] [SPEAKER_04]: Will Punky Brewster be sent to the slammer for stealing a scarf?

[00:33:11] [SPEAKER_04]: Here's my review and recap of this classic Christmas

[00:33:14] [SPEAKER_04]: television episode, Punky Brewster Christmas Shoplifting starting now.

[00:33:18] [SPEAKER_04]: It's Christmas and Punky has a list of 74 people

[00:33:21] [SPEAKER_04]: she wants to buy a present for, including the garbage man

[00:33:24] [SPEAKER_04]: and the butcher's brother.

[00:33:25] [SPEAKER_04]: The problem is she only has three dollars and 26 cents.

[00:33:29] [SPEAKER_04]: Fearing Punky will buy him another glow in the dark tie,

[00:33:31] [SPEAKER_04]: Henry gives her some money only to buy for her close friends.

[00:33:35] [SPEAKER_00]: I'll give you five dollars each to buy presents for Mike,

[00:33:40] [SPEAKER_00]: Cherry, Mrs. Johnson, Brandon and me.

[00:33:43] [SPEAKER_00]: And to the rest of the people, you can send Christmas cards.

[00:33:47] [SPEAKER_00]: Thanks, Henry.

[00:33:49] [SPEAKER_04]: She heads to the mall with her friend, Cherry,

[00:33:51] [SPEAKER_04]: where it is announced that Santa doesn't want larger children

[00:33:53] [SPEAKER_04]: to sit on his lap.

[00:33:56] [SPEAKER_02]: Attention, mothers.

[00:33:58] [SPEAKER_02]: Santa Claus has requested that overweight children

[00:34:01] [SPEAKER_02]: refrain from sitting on his lap.

[00:34:03] [SPEAKER_02]: If your child weighs over 70 pounds, please have him write Santa a letter.

[00:34:10] [SPEAKER_04]: They run into their friend, Richard Matzey, who got his mom

[00:34:13] [SPEAKER_04]: a genuine leather purse that cost 50 dollars using the Matzey method,

[00:34:17] [SPEAKER_04]: where he just drops the item in his bag and walks away.

[00:34:21] [SPEAKER_04]: Punky and Cherry are shocked that he would steal something

[00:34:23] [SPEAKER_04]: until they give them an excuse.

[00:34:25] [SPEAKER_09]: And besides, shoplifting isn't really stealing.

[00:34:29] [SPEAKER_09]: It isn't?

[00:34:31] [SPEAKER_09]: No, stores like it when you rip them off.

[00:34:33] [SPEAKER_09]: They make a lot of money from their insurance companies.

[00:34:36] [SPEAKER_09]: Still doesn't sound right to me.

[00:34:39] [SPEAKER_04]: If you don't recognize Richmond, he's played by Peter Billingsley.

[00:34:43] [SPEAKER_04]: That's right, Ralphie from A Christmas Story teaches Punky about shoplifting.

[00:34:47] [SPEAKER_04]: Overhearing that Henry wants a cashmere scarf,

[00:34:50] [SPEAKER_04]: Punky steals it running into her teacher, Mike.

[00:34:52] [SPEAKER_04]: Nervous she may be caught, Punky accidentally switches bags with Mike,

[00:34:56] [SPEAKER_04]: who is then racially profiled by the store and arrested for shoplifting

[00:34:59] [SPEAKER_04]: when they find the stolen scarf in his bag.

[00:35:03] [SPEAKER_04]: Punky confesses to Henry and Mike that she stole the scarf.

[00:35:06] [SPEAKER_09]: It's my fault you're in jail.

[00:35:08] [SPEAKER_09]: I wanted to get Henry a special present,

[00:35:12] [SPEAKER_09]: but then I ran out of money and I saw that beautiful scarf.

[00:35:16] [SPEAKER_09]: I knew it was something Henry always wanted.

[00:35:19] [SPEAKER_09]: So I just put it in my bag and then my bag became your bag.

[00:35:26] [SPEAKER_09]: You stole that scarf?

[00:35:28] [SPEAKER_04]: Yes. And I'm taking a rap for it.

[00:35:32] [SPEAKER_04]: The charges are dropped and Mike is released.

[00:35:34] [SPEAKER_04]: And as punishment, Punky is forced to work at the store as a gift wrapper.

[00:35:39] [SPEAKER_04]: So final thoughts.

[00:35:40] [SPEAKER_04]: Punky learns that you don't have to spend a lot of money on Christmas gifts

[00:35:43] [SPEAKER_04]: and that it's the thought that really counts.

[00:35:45] [SPEAKER_04]: She also learns that she shouldn't listen to Ralphie

[00:35:47] [SPEAKER_04]: from the Christmas story and not steal.

[00:35:50] [SPEAKER_04]: At least her punishment wasn't so poisoning.

[00:35:54] [SPEAKER_09]: It... it was?

[00:35:56] Yes. Yes.

[00:35:59] [SPEAKER_04]: So... poisoning.

[00:36:01] [SPEAKER_04]: I give this episode a B minus.

[00:36:04] [SPEAKER_04]: Well, that's my review of the Punky Brewster episode

[00:36:06] [SPEAKER_04]: Christmas Shoplifting from the second season.

[00:36:08] [SPEAKER_04]: You can easily watch this episode online.

[00:36:11] [SPEAKER_04]: If you watch it, let me know what you think.

[00:36:13] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm The Christmas Aficionado.

[00:36:14] [SPEAKER_04]: And remember, stay off the naughty list.

[00:36:19] [SPEAKER_07]: I did not expect Peter Billingsley to come up,

[00:36:23] [SPEAKER_07]: nor that he would be advocating for shoplifting.

[00:36:27] [SPEAKER_08]: This is the Christmas story sequel we've all been looking for.

[00:36:30] [SPEAKER_07]: None of this other stuff.

[00:36:31] [SPEAKER_07]: I like this idea.

[00:36:33] [SPEAKER_08]: Did either of you ever see Punky Brewster?

[00:36:35] [SPEAKER_08]: It's got to be way before your time.

[00:36:37] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, it is before my time.

[00:36:39] [SPEAKER_08]: I know I like I've obviously heard of it.

[00:36:41] [SPEAKER_08]: I if you showed me like a bunch of pictures

[00:36:44] [SPEAKER_08]: and said, like, hey, pick out the one that's from Punky Brewster.

[00:36:47] [SPEAKER_08]: I might be able to do it just based off of peripheral knowledge,

[00:36:51] [SPEAKER_08]: but I'm not 100 percent confident.

[00:36:55] [SPEAKER_07]: Even I wouldn't be 100 percent confident.

[00:36:57] [SPEAKER_07]: I'm pretty sure I remember, but I also get her confused with Blossom

[00:37:01] [SPEAKER_07]: because that was right around the same time.

[00:37:03] [SPEAKER_03]: And I know who Blossom is.

[00:37:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Punky Brewster. I couldn't.

[00:37:06] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't think I could pick out either brand.

[00:37:08] [SPEAKER_07]: I'd say you're not missing much, but you had to be there.

[00:37:11] [SPEAKER_07]: It was a time and a place.

[00:37:12] [SPEAKER_08]: I don't know this episode.

[00:37:13] [SPEAKER_08]: I think next to never.

[00:37:15] [SPEAKER_08]: I'm going to go find this episode.

[00:37:16] [SPEAKER_07]: Well, Joe has been doing a series on his channel called The Year in Christmas

[00:37:21] [SPEAKER_07]: 1985, and he said it's been really well received.

[00:37:23] [SPEAKER_07]: And that's why he did this one.

[00:37:25] [SPEAKER_07]: So I would encourage everybody to go over YouTube,

[00:37:27] [SPEAKER_07]: search for Christmas Aficionado and check it out.

[00:37:30] [SPEAKER_07]: Thank you, Joe, for doing that for us.

[00:37:32] [SPEAKER_08]: I love that. Thank you, Jojo.

[00:37:34] [SPEAKER_08]: Jojo, huh?

[00:37:34] [SPEAKER_08]: That was a new thing I was trying.

[00:37:38] [SPEAKER_07]: We'll see what how he responds to it.

[00:37:40] [SPEAKER_07]: The last one today is from Lenora Gilbert.

[00:37:42] [SPEAKER_07]: Lenora sent us a clip

[00:37:44] [SPEAKER_07]: telling us about a TV special called Happy Holidays with Frank and Bing.

[00:37:49] [SPEAKER_07]: Oh, yeah.

[00:37:50] [SPEAKER_07]: Are you familiar with this brand?

[00:37:51] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah. OK.

[00:37:52] [SPEAKER_01]: Hey, everybody.

[00:37:53] [SPEAKER_01]: It's Lenora here.

[00:37:54] [SPEAKER_01]: You're Arizona Christmas freak on the street.

[00:37:57] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm here today to share with you about one of the coolest little

[00:38:01] [SPEAKER_01]: Christmas shows I like to watch.

[00:38:03] [SPEAKER_01]: It's called Happy Holidays with Frank and Bing.

[00:38:07] [SPEAKER_01]: I have it on a disk called the Frank Sinatra Collection.

[00:38:11] [SPEAKER_01]: I purchased the DVD from Amazon,

[00:38:13] [SPEAKER_01]: but you can find snippets of this show on YouTube for free.

[00:38:19] [SPEAKER_01]: The show was first aired on December 20th in 1957,

[00:38:23] [SPEAKER_01]: and it has all the Christmas feels.

[00:38:26] [SPEAKER_01]: It starts out with Bing coming over to visit Frank's swanky apartment

[00:38:30] [SPEAKER_01]: to exchange gifts and Christmas cheer.

[00:38:33] [SPEAKER_01]: After a song and sipping some wassail,

[00:38:36] [SPEAKER_01]: they wish themselves an old Victorian Christmas.

[00:38:39] [SPEAKER_01]: A knock at the door reveals a group of Victorian carolers

[00:38:43] [SPEAKER_01]: who leave Bing and Frank singing to an English town square.

[00:38:48] [SPEAKER_01]: More songs are sung around the town before the duo return

[00:38:51] [SPEAKER_01]: to Frank's apartment for more song before they tuck into a Christmas turkey.

[00:38:57] [SPEAKER_01]: It's only a half hour show, but it's filled with 14 Christmas songs,

[00:39:02] [SPEAKER_01]: all the favorites, and the set of the show is amazing

[00:39:05] [SPEAKER_01]: with the tree, the decorations, the fireplace.

[00:39:09] [SPEAKER_01]: So if you need a good dose of old timey Christmas feels, check this one out.

[00:39:14] [SPEAKER_01]: Happy Christmas party, everybody.

[00:39:17] [SPEAKER_07]: Brian, I wasn't familiar with Happy Holidays with Frank and Bing,

[00:39:21] [SPEAKER_07]: but you said you are.

[00:39:23] [SPEAKER_08]: I am familiar with it.

[00:39:24] [SPEAKER_08]: I stumbled upon it not too long ago, like a few years ago.

[00:39:27] [SPEAKER_08]: I stumbled upon it and it is it's just it's it's a great time.

[00:39:32] [SPEAKER_08]: It's a great that's I'll leave it at that.

[00:39:34] [SPEAKER_08]: It's a great time.

[00:39:35] [SPEAKER_07]: Well, as Lenora told us, Shannon, it's 30 minutes long.

[00:39:37] [SPEAKER_07]: So it's a quick watch.

[00:39:39] [SPEAKER_07]: It hit me in all the feels.

[00:39:41] [SPEAKER_07]: It gave all the right vibes that I was looking for when I I skimmed it

[00:39:46] [SPEAKER_07]: because she sent the link for it as well.

[00:39:48] [SPEAKER_07]: It also made me feel like the David Bowie.

[00:39:52] [SPEAKER_07]: Bing Crosby one was kind of an homage to this.

[00:39:56] [SPEAKER_07]: It had the same feeling.

[00:39:57] [SPEAKER_08]: Bing has a few of these type of specials,

[00:40:01] [SPEAKER_08]: the one that you're thinking of, obviously he had different guests come in.

[00:40:04] [SPEAKER_08]: But yeah, they're all a hoot and a holler for sure.

[00:40:07] [SPEAKER_07]: Shannon, were you familiar with this special?

[00:40:09] [SPEAKER_07]: Have you ever heard of it or seen clips from it?

[00:40:11] [SPEAKER_03]: No, I have not.

[00:40:12] [SPEAKER_03]: I was not familiar.

[00:40:13] [SPEAKER_07]: Well, come on over.

[00:40:14] [SPEAKER_07]: We'll have a watch party.

[00:40:15] [SPEAKER_07]: I'll make popcorn. OK, sure.

[00:40:18] [SPEAKER_08]: What a great time today was Scotty.

[00:40:19] [SPEAKER_08]: So much amazing stuff.

[00:40:21] [SPEAKER_08]: Shannon, it was so nice to have you back and for you to read some stuff.

[00:40:24] [SPEAKER_08]: So it's like, you know, not all Scott.

[00:40:27] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, listen, that's nobody wants that.

[00:40:29] [SPEAKER_08]: Nobody wants that.

[00:40:30] [SPEAKER_08]: I don't even want that.

[00:40:31] [SPEAKER_08]: Clearly, I also just can't read.

[00:40:33] [SPEAKER_08]: So that's like nice to nice to have somebody else

[00:40:37] [SPEAKER_08]: picking up the bag.

[00:40:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes. And your and your and your songs, the intros.

[00:40:43] [SPEAKER_03]: Fantastic. Great job.

[00:40:44] [SPEAKER_03]: They got there.

[00:40:45] [SPEAKER_08]: They got there eventually.

[00:40:46] [SPEAKER_03]: Lots of practice time went into those.

[00:40:48] [SPEAKER_03]: So good job.

[00:40:49] [SPEAKER_03]: I had to be challenged.

[00:40:50] [SPEAKER_08]: And Scotty, you challenged me to electrify it and I electrified.

[00:40:54] [SPEAKER_07]: Oh, it worked. It just worked perfectly.

[00:40:55] [SPEAKER_07]: I would I would encourage us to do this again next month.

[00:40:58] [SPEAKER_07]: And I was also encouraged Shannon to come back and join us again next month.

[00:41:02] [SPEAKER_07]: It's been so fun to have you here.

[00:41:03] [SPEAKER_07]: Love to see your face, love to hear your voice.

[00:41:06] [SPEAKER_07]: And you bring another perspective to these,

[00:41:09] [SPEAKER_07]: especially with all the vintage stuff that was which mentioned today.

[00:41:13] [SPEAKER_07]: I just that's one of the things that I love about you so much is

[00:41:16] [SPEAKER_07]: you've got this great experience with the whole world

[00:41:18] [SPEAKER_07]: that I'm just not familiar with.

[00:41:20] [SPEAKER_07]: And I would love to go shopping with you.

[00:41:22] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, thanks, Scotty.

[00:41:23] [SPEAKER_03]: I appreciate that. I'll be back next month. All right.

[00:41:26] [SPEAKER_08]: This was so much fun.

[00:41:28] [SPEAKER_08]: And it's crazy to think, Scotty, we only got two more Christmas parties

[00:41:31] [SPEAKER_08]: before we go daily.

[00:41:33] [SPEAKER_08]: So we really need your stuff.

[00:41:34] [SPEAKER_08]: Send it on in next time we do this.

[00:41:37] [SPEAKER_08]: It'll be less than 100 days, which is wow.

[00:41:40] [SPEAKER_07]: That's crazy.

[00:41:41] [SPEAKER_07]: And Shannon, you're the one that has the connection with Mrs. Claus.

[00:41:43] [SPEAKER_07]: You think you could let her know that we'd love to hear from her again

[00:41:46] [SPEAKER_07]: during November and December?

[00:41:48] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, she's been on vacation, not answering her phone calls.

[00:41:51] [SPEAKER_03]: But, you know, I have a good hunch that she might be available.

[00:41:56] [SPEAKER_08]: We all have to unplug every once in a while.

[00:41:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. You know, come Christmas season, she's going to be ready,

[00:42:00] [SPEAKER_07]: ready for it. OK, and that's great.

[00:42:02] [SPEAKER_07]: I love that.

[00:42:02] [SPEAKER_07]: Make sure you say hi to Poppy while you're up here.

[00:42:05] [SPEAKER_07]: You only come once a month.

[00:42:06] [SPEAKER_07]: She's sick of us, but not you.

[00:42:08] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, that's true. All right.

[00:42:10] [SPEAKER_08]: We did everybody.

[00:42:11] [SPEAKER_08]: We'll be back next Wednesday, of course, with another Christmas morning.

[00:42:14] [SPEAKER_08]: Until then, Merry Christmas.

[00:42:26] [SPEAKER_07]: You're about to hear some ads that help pay for our trip

[00:42:28] [SPEAKER_07]: back and forth to the North Pole.

[00:42:30] [SPEAKER_07]: Feel free to listen.

[00:42:31] [SPEAKER_07]: Feel free to bail now.

[00:42:33] [SPEAKER_07]: But either way, thanks for being here.

[00:42:35] [SPEAKER_05]: Ho ho ho.
