[00:02:16] Wanted to share an update on my eggnog aging adventures this year

[00:02:19] I don't think anyone was actually asking for this update

[00:02:22] But I never let details like that get in my way

[00:02:24] Lance, we were waiting on pins and needles

[00:02:26] You might remember that I shared a picture of two dozen eggs in a bowl

[00:02:29] That looked like a toilet when I started aging my eggnog back in September

[00:02:32] I recall it well, yes Lance

[00:02:33] It's burned in my memory

[00:02:34] I started drinking my concoction the weekend before Thanksgiving

[00:02:37] But Thanksgiving was late this year

[00:02:39] So I can't get in trouble for that

[00:02:40] That's right

[00:02:41] The egg, sugar, liquor mixture stayed in the fridge for about 10 weeks

[00:02:44] Then I strained it before adding the milk and cream

[00:02:47] A little freshly ground nutmeg on top and it's wonderful

[00:02:49] Smooth, but with enough kick to keep you warm

[00:02:53] Now for my big discovery of the year

[00:02:55] Eggnog milkshake

[00:02:57] I like to make homemade ice cream throughout the year

[00:02:59] And I did that this year with the eggnog mixture

[00:03:02] I prefer to have a little alcohol in my ice cream

[00:03:04] Since it keeps it soft straight from the freezer

[00:03:07] Just like soft serve

[00:03:08] The ice cream is fine

[00:03:09] But honestly not anything special

[00:03:11] Then I realized I could use it instead of ice in a glass

[00:03:14] With even more liquid eggnog

[00:03:16] And I have my new favorite serving method

[00:03:18] See the attached photo

[00:03:19] I'm assuming others could do this with any eggnog style they prefer

[00:03:22] And I know several companies make eggnog ice cream to sell in the stores

[00:03:26] Heartfelt thanks again to you both for sharing the Christmas spirit all year long

[00:03:30] Especially when life gets hectic this part of the year

[00:03:32] That's a good idea

[00:03:33] There Lance, I like this

[00:04:08] So you don't want to know how the sausage is made

[00:04:50] My husband would try to zip tie our tree topper

[00:04:53] To the treetop with limited success

[00:04:55] Since our tree does not have a good spot

[00:04:57] To place the topper

[00:04:57] I was at my wits end

[00:04:59] And I don't believe colorful language

[00:05:00] Should be used when decorating for Christmas

[00:05:02] We always got our star secured

[00:05:03] But it never looked right

[00:05:05] Now it sits beautifully on top of the tree

[00:05:07] Just like it should

[00:05:08] And she included a photo

[00:05:10] And it's beautiful

[00:05:11] Yeah, all these pictures are great

[00:05:15] And I'm very glad to know
