[00:00:00] This is a Bramble Jam podcast.
[00:00:05] Live from the North Pole, it's time for Christmas morning.
[00:00:18] The Daily Show where every day is Christmas. That's right. And we are getting closer and closer with every moment. And so Merry Christmas to you on top of the Happy Valentine's Day. Scotty, I see that big old mailbag over there on the floor. You mind whipping that bad boy open and seeing what's inside? Maybe we got a Valentine's in to us? We don't, but let's open it anyway. Okay. Ladders, we get ladders, we get stacks and stacks of ladders.
[00:01:46] It's not a Valentine, but it is cat. That's like 300 human years. So, in agreement with my wife, every cat we adopt our Christmas decorations go up 10 days earlier. So, as the most we've had was 11, that roughly gave me the first week in September. Part of the agreement was that the tally stuck. So even if we adopted no more cats
[00:03:01] and the numbers sadly go down over time,
[00:03:03] the early September date stays.
[00:03:06] Now, as a huge wildlife and animal lover, it. Scotty, no new reviews this week, but of course I still do have some in the hopper. And so this today is this from the lost batch. No, we're back. We're we're we're caught back up. We're still in December though. We got a lot right before Christmas and then they came in during our break. And so I'm still getting to those. This is from B to one nine
[00:04:22] eight six. And it's good to know that one else is having this issue. I don't know if they have or not. You're the only one that I know of that's gone the extra mile. And so I appreciate that. Thank you so much. That's right. The road is littered with people who What's important is the joke. Yes. Why didn't the beluga make it to Christmas dinner? First of all, I love saying beluga. I think it's very fun. And honestly, it's the hodgepodge beluga. You saying it, I completely missed the joke.
[00:07:02] So say it one more time.
[00:07:03] Why didn't the beluga make it to Christmas dinner? 39 months. 39 weeks or something. That's 40. 40 weeks. Okay, so we're not quite there yet, but we're on the watch. 40 days. No, 40 weeks. Yeah, we're trying to gestate a Christmas baby here. I did not like that. It's 32 weeks or 230 days until October 1st.
[00:08:23] What about until what was it, August 1st?
[00:09:41] The problem there is if we start doing every single one that people write in about, drive through them and they're dancing to the music. And it's fun and it's nice and you love it. Well, One Town in Colorado by the name of Loveland Colorado, Sky. Not too far from me. They have, they've said, why does Christmas get all the love when it comes to the drive-through light displays? A fair question, especially for a town called Loveland,
[00:09:44] where Valentine's Day is their thing.
[00:09:46] We say Loveland, but okay.
[00:09:47] Okay, I'm a great idea. Why not? You know, if we, I was going to say if we have to celebrate the holiday, what I mean is if we have to stop celebrating Christmas, that's exactly what I mean. To the next holiday, I still like lights. I just like lights. I do too. I do too. And so I think that's just, it doesn't matter the holiday, just put up lights.
[00:11:02] And if you're like, you, and you know,'ll find out on the other side of the break here on Christmas morning. Welcome back everybody. Man, the North Pole. It's quiet these days. I feel like they typically there's a few that are kind of keeping the workshop afloat, but by and large, I don't know where everyone goes.
[00:12:25] Yeah, really, they're just keeping it maintained. on Turner Classic Movies Bachelor Mother from 1939. Alonzo, I'm going to need some information on what this is. 1030 a.m. on Sundance, the Andy Griffith Show, The Christmas Story, 12 p.m. on Freeform, Boy Meets World, Santa's Little Helper, 1230... You love the Boy Meets World, don't you?
[00:13:41] I love the Boy Meets World. What channel is that area on Free that movie when I was eight years old, I would absolutely think it's one of the greatest movies of all time, probably. As an adult, the movie doesn't hold up. Boy, is there a lot of violence in that movie. It's very... It's slapsticky, yes. It's almost like slapstick and... It's awesome.
[00:15:00] ... like, pratfalls.
[00:15:01] It was a little over the top.
[00:15:03] What you're saying is it's awesome.
[00:15:05] Overall, I am glad I saw the movie. but i thank you for not so it completely slandering the name of jingle all the way like some people do i won't i won't stand for it i'm not a perfect now it's it's not that bad you have to you know what you don't know if you watch it just as a lot of it very silly movie always been really funny it had its moments and it was
[00:16:21] i was a charm to it
[00:16:23] uh... gosh
[00:16:25] and uh... it's just so good anyway let's let's carry on But 17 votes. It's not like a big loss. No for the people out there that are doing the quick math 30% for last place means that second and third place has to be pretty close and you would be correct With three technically it doesn't you know you could have 30 percent 10 percent and 60 percent Like you like your wins have been in the last few weeks, but that's not what we have today
[00:17:43] No, but what what I'm saying is if last place
[00:18:42] I love all his albums that are on Bandcamp and highly recommended.
[00:18:43] So cool.
[00:18:44] Yes, yes.
[00:18:47] Well, it is time for original Christmas music.
[00:18:49] I forgot something, Graham.
[00:18:50] Go ahead, sorry.
[00:18:51] Last week we got submissions from Parker,
[00:18:53] Halit, and Elizabeth Nelson,
[00:18:55] and I forgot to mention it.
[00:18:56] I apologize for that.
[00:18:57] Thank you both for submitting songs.
[00:18:59] Thank you, Scotty.
[00:19:00] It's time for this week's battle.
[00:19:02] It is the second Wednesday,
[00:19:03] which means it's original Christmas music week
[00:19:05] and to tip the hat to in the title. And they don't. But there is one artist in the list with love in her name. Do you know who it would have been? Darlene Love. That's right. Her song, Christmas Baby, Please Come Home is on the top 100 songs of all, Christmas songs of all time, Billboard list, and she has love in the name. That's the best I could do for this week. Which would be a Christmas love song by Darlene?
[00:20:22] So there you go.
[00:20:23] I thought there would have been at least one
[00:20:24] with the word love in it, but nope.
[00:20:26] Good trivia today, Scotty.
[00:20:27] What?
[00:20:28] Thank you. I That's Christmas to me with all the fancy things that I could find There's just one I need to make it right Just the season that we tell the truth
[00:23:00] It will be nothing without you For the bells in the skies above It's Christmas Eve and I'm falling in love I get this fall that is too slow enough I take my heart, I'd wrap it up I'd wrap it up
[00:24:25] If I had my way, you could feel in your past With all the things I'd find
[00:25:22] Lee Pack, John Rice, and Phil Clark. Thank you all for submitting.
[00:25:24] It was a lot of fun to listen to all these songs
[00:25:26] and I was shocked that every one of these was an original.
[00:25:28] Man, how about that?
[00:25:30] And I'm not that I'm not that I'm not I'm not I'm not.
[00:25:32] I don't even know if that's the melody, but.
[00:25:34] All right, can we move on?
[00:25:35] Yeah, we can move on if you until.
[00:25:40] I have a question about next week's songs.
[00:25:41] It's going to be the third Wednesday of the month.
[00:25:43] I believe we've been doing instrumentals.
[00:25:46] Should we do that on the third or the last?
