[00:00:00] This is a Bramble Jam Podcast

[00:00:05] Live from the North Pole, it's time for Christmas Morning, the daily show where every day is Christmas.

[00:00:22] Here are your hosts, Brand and Scott.

[00:00:30] Well hello everybody, it's great to be back here in the North Pole. It's your good friend

[00:00:37] Brand and I'm here with my good friend Scott. Scott, Merry Christmas pal.

[00:00:42] Merry Christmas buddy, I don't normally like to start the show on a downer but I'm a little bit disgruntled today.

[00:00:49] Uh oh, what happened?

[00:00:51] I was listening to one of my favorite podcasts and one of the hosts was just dragging my Christmas spirit down.

[00:00:59] Do you want to hear a clip?

[00:01:01] Okay, alright let's hear it.

[00:01:04] We're one week closer for Christmas so...

[00:01:07] Guys it's April.

[00:01:09] We're not close to Christmas.

[00:01:12] I didn't say that.

[00:01:14] We're in that slack period between Easter and Halloween. Give us something.

[00:01:18] I gave these out of jokers to break when it comes to Bramble Fest. I don't make any jokes. It's all fair game.

[00:01:25] But never once did I say that we're close.

[00:01:27] And we're releasing Bramble Fest tickets? Are we doing that?

[00:01:30] In April, we decided on a date. I know we did.

[00:01:32] One... I said we're one week closer.

[00:01:35] Yes, I know. That's always true though, Brandon. Every day but the week of Christmas, that is true.

[00:01:41] So to say it now is ridiculous.

[00:01:44] Now I don't want to disparage the name of that particular host so let's just call him Captain Butthead.

[00:01:51] I like that. Captain Butthead hears wrong. He's wrong.

[00:01:54] Yes, I heard the dulcet tones of you and Alonzo Derraldi and then there was also Captain Butthead.

[00:01:59] But you know what? He's incorrect. We are getting closer to Christmas whether he likes it or not.

[00:02:04] That's exactly right. We're doing the... And that's the whole point of this show.

[00:02:07] Every week reminding you that we're closer. We may not be close, but we're closer to Christmas.

[00:02:15] And if you're like us, that gives you a little bit of extra pep in your stack.

[00:02:19] That's all we're trying to do here. One of the ways that I get cheered up, Scotty, whenever I'm feeling a little bit bummed is

[00:02:26] we open out that mailbag and suddenly I am filled with joy.

[00:02:30] So I think that's maybe what we should do for you today.

[00:02:32] Letters. We get letters. We get stacks and stacks of letters.

[00:02:39] I have a couple emails today. The first one really short. It's from Chad from the Christmas Cousins podcast.

[00:02:44] He said, I love the fact that on the past week's episode, Bran is now actually asking for the October 1st countdown.

[00:02:52] He has seen the light! So yes, Chad, I'm very excited as well. But Chad, Chad, be cool. Don't spook him, okay?

[00:03:00] No, Chad's right. I guess that's just who I am now. I guess I get excited.

[00:03:07] You're just tricking your mind. That's all you're doing. But that's like most things in life.

[00:03:13] We're all just trying to trick our minds into forgetting that we're on this spinning globe and things are falling apart.

[00:03:19] We're all just tricking our minds. And so if October 1st tricks me into thinking that we're closer to Christmas than we actually are, so be it.

[00:03:26] I was hoping seeing the solar eclipse was going to change Captain Butthead's mind, but it didn't.

[00:03:31] But hey, shout out to Bramblefest, which is happening in July, Christmas in July. Can't wait. TV Scotty will be there. It's confirmed.

[00:03:38] Very excited about that, TV Scotty. You said we had two emails. What's the other one?

[00:03:42] The other one is from Parker Hallett. He says, wow! Where do I start?

[00:03:46] First, I guess an apology is an order from my first email. I had no intention of shaming because of the lack of ornaments that you own,

[00:03:53] but somehow the email portrayed it. I would never want to shame my new Christmas buds, so please accept my apology.

[00:04:00] Well first, Parker, no apology necessary. We all keep each other honest around here. And I think it was a valid point to ask,

[00:04:07] wait a minute, what do you mean all your ornaments fit on a table? Well, he didn't realize there was a vertical component to it.

[00:04:12] That's right. And I just want to say, Parker, you don't have to apologize for us reading into something you didn't say.

[00:04:19] That's what we do. We read into the emails. It's nothing that you did.

[00:04:23] That's right. Like Brian always says, don't hear what I didn't say. Parker goes on to say,

[00:04:28] I have been a long time listener to the Australian podcast Christmas Potting, and when you all were mentioned and highly recommended,

[00:04:35] I started listening. Brian, I wasn't aware of this.

[00:04:37] I didn't know that we were being recommended by some Aussies. This is very exciting.

[00:04:41] If somebody can tell me what episode we were mentioned, and I'd love to go back and check.

[00:04:46] And I also apparently need to start listening to Christmas Potting because if they're recommending us, that means they must be pretty cool.

[00:04:52] I have been trying to get caught up on your massive backlog and finally came to an episode last October when you all mentioned them.

[00:04:59] And it was in turn the reference they made on their show. This is news to me, but I'm old.

[00:05:04] Brian has no excuse. He goes on to say it is so funny that as Christmas Buds have a lot in common,

[00:05:09] one of them getting married in December. One reference that you made on a past episode was Christmas in a large city,

[00:05:15] especially New York. This past December for our anniversary, my wife and I took a weekend getaway to New York, which was amazing.

[00:05:22] I would highly recommend any Christmas enthusiast do so as it is so much better than any pictures due to experience it in person.

[00:05:31] Of course, I had to do the famous buddy revolving door scene and escalator scene.

[00:05:36] We were also able to squeeze in Ralph's for dinner, which was amazing surrounded by thousands of decorations.

[00:05:41] I could go on and on, but I'll save it for a Christmas party episode. Yes, Parker, please do that.

[00:05:46] And maybe you could add a Christmas travel segment. Oh yeah, I don't really like to travel, but I don't know other people do.

[00:05:52] Thank you for all the hard work you put into each episode. It is greatly appreciated and enjoyed.

[00:05:56] Please don't stop your South Texas Ambassador Parker. Well, Parker, good news. We're not going to stop.

[00:06:02] I have no intention of stopping. Do you, Brian?

[00:06:04] No, never stop, never stopping. That's what we're going to continue to do.

[00:06:08] Can't stop? Won't stop?

[00:06:09] I love this show so much fun. This show so much fun and the fact that we get to just get that little extra Christmas boost.

[00:06:16] I need it as much as I love doing it. I need it even more. And so thank you so much for the encouragement.

[00:06:22] Well, yeah, as evidenced by that earlier clip, people trying to drag you down.

[00:06:25] Yeah, that's right. There's the haters. The haters.

[00:06:27] Don't let the turkeys get you down. That's right.

[00:06:29] I've got some review updates for you. We are chilling at 2.45, which is the same number as last week,

[00:06:36] which is fine. I'm not going to shame anybody this week because I still have a couple in the hopper,

[00:06:40] but shame.

[00:06:41] Shame.

[00:06:42] Shame.

[00:06:43] We'll be back to shame.

[00:06:44] Today's review though comes from Jessica The T via the Apple podcast. Absolutely delightful.

[00:06:50] I think we know who this is.

[00:06:52] I think so as well. Absolutely delightful, she says.

[00:06:55] I adore this podcast every Wednesday.

[00:06:57] Brandon Scott bring us a little taste of Christmas to get us through the long haul of the time of the year that isn't Christmas.

[00:07:06] Then when it is Christmas time, they go daily to help us slow down and enjoy the season.

[00:07:11] Every episode is packed with wonderful information and entertainment news, TV list things, jokes and a great variety of Christmas music

[00:07:18] and their listener action makes us all feel like we're part of the community with these lovely hosts.

[00:07:24] Give it a listen. You will love it.

[00:07:26] And we love you, Jessica The T. What a kind review.

[00:07:30] Five stars love it.

[00:07:32] And if you would like to be like Jessica The T, please leave us a review on the Apple podcast.

[00:07:36] And if you don't have a way to do that, find a way. Find a friend.

[00:07:40] Phone a friend.

[00:07:41] Google it.

[00:07:42] I did confirm with Jessica Trinidad that this was her review.

[00:07:46] Jessica Trinidad, wonderful friend of the show, frequent contributor, my buddy, but she didn't do it because she's our friend.

[00:07:53] She did it because she was a listener first.

[00:07:55] And Jessica, thank you so much. I really appreciate the kind words.

[00:07:58] Very sweet of you to do that.

[00:08:00] And all you other regular listeners and contributors, where's your review?

[00:08:04] We'll call you out right on the show and say how wonderful you are. Everyone loves that.

[00:08:08] That's exactly right, Scott. You know what else we all love?

[00:08:11] The joke. Do you got one for us today?

[00:08:13] I do have a good joke and I may have written this one myself.

[00:08:17] Or adapt it. Maybe adapt it as a better word.

[00:08:20] Wow. Okay.

[00:08:22] Brian, have you heard the joke about Christmas wrapping paper?

[00:08:25] No.

[00:08:26] Never mind. It's terrible.

[00:08:28] What the what the?

[00:08:30] Oh, Scotty. Oh, no.

[00:08:39] I may have heard that joke done without the word Christmas in it and just adapted it.

[00:08:45] But I liked it. I thought it was pretty funny.

[00:08:47] Good news. The listeners are starting to write in with jokes.

[00:08:49] So they're going to get better from here.

[00:08:51] I just wanted to set the stage nice and low for everybody.

[00:08:54] I love that. I love that. Let's get to the countdown.

[00:08:57] Go to the world.

[00:09:02] 259 days until Christmas.

[00:09:07] 259, Scotty.

[00:09:10] 250 is a really nice round number. We're under 260.

[00:09:14] I can do this. You can do this. We can all do this.

[00:09:17] 37 weeks. Crazy.

[00:09:19] Crazy. This is basically tomorrow.

[00:09:21] Insane. I can't believe it's practically here.

[00:09:25] What about October 1st?

[00:09:27] Yeah, Chad would like to know how many days until October 1st.

[00:09:31] Well, I've got good news. It's 174 days until October 1st.

[00:09:37] 24 weeks. 24 weeks. We can do it.

[00:09:40] I love that. How about some news?

[00:09:42] Let's do it.

[00:09:48] Today is April 10th. Here's the news.

[00:09:52] Scotty, it's been a few months since we've talked about Mariah Carey.

[00:09:57] Thank God.

[00:09:58] And so I guess now is time to break that wonderful, wonderful streak.

[00:10:02] Apparently back in 2022, Mariah Carey had a Christmas special.

[00:10:08] I'm sure at the time we talked about on the show,

[00:10:10] Mariah Carey married Christmas to all,

[00:10:13] which was filmed in Madison Square Garden.

[00:10:16] Oh, no. You and I missed it in person. Darn.

[00:10:20] For a while, it wasn't able to stream anywhere.

[00:10:23] But now, thanks to the power of technology,

[00:10:27] it is out in the open and it's good because it's April

[00:10:31] and maybe you need, maybe, maybe Scotty wouldn't watch a Mariah Carey concert

[00:10:36] during the holiday season, but maybe,

[00:10:38] maybe you might give it a shot in April.

[00:10:41] I don't know, Scotty.

[00:10:42] I have to imagine the production values are pretty high.

[00:10:45] So how could it totally disappoint?

[00:10:48] Yeah, there's one or two songs I do not want to hear.

[00:10:51] These things have fast forward.

[00:10:53] Skip ahead 30. No problem.

[00:10:55] Skip ahead 30.

[00:10:56] It is available for streaming now on Paramount Plus,

[00:10:59] which is, you know, one of those things that people sometimes have.

[00:11:04] I don't have Paramount Plus.

[00:11:05] I have every other friggin' streaming service on Earth except Paramount Plus.

[00:11:09] Well, the good news is, is I think you can get a free,

[00:11:12] free trial Scotty.

[00:11:13] So you can,

[00:11:14] You think I'm going to waste my free trial on this?

[00:11:16] What else are you going to waste it on for Paramount Plus?

[00:11:18] That's a good point. I don't know.

[00:11:20] You know what?

[00:11:21] There is a really cute animated thing that came out a couple years ago

[00:11:26] on CBF that I think is also on Paramount Plus.

[00:11:28] So you could do two, could knock out a couple of,

[00:11:30] couple of birds though.

[00:11:31] Okay.

[00:11:32] Well, I might check it out.

[00:11:33] I probably not.

[00:11:34] But okay.

[00:11:35] But you could.

[00:11:36] I'm sure this makes somebody happy and that makes me happy.

[00:11:39] That's right.

[00:11:40] Rain deer in here?

[00:11:42] Yeah, rain deer in here is the,

[00:11:44] is the special from a couple of years ago.

[00:11:46] It's cute.

[00:11:47] So you could do a couple of things.

[00:11:48] A couple of things to Paramount Plus.

[00:11:49] It's not complete wasteland.

[00:11:50] Well, I got to make my free trial worth it.

[00:11:52] If I'm going to blow that window,

[00:11:54] what does it take a week, a month?

[00:11:55] I don't know.

[00:11:56] I don't know.

[00:11:57] But whatever it is, Mariah Carey's Christmas concerts.

[00:11:59] One day passed.

[00:12:00] You know what?

[00:12:01] That's it.

[00:12:02] Sell me a one day pass to your streaming service so I can watch

[00:12:04] the one thing I want.

[00:12:06] Although then everybody would do it and the whole thing collects.

[00:12:08] Never mind.

[00:12:09] It doesn't work.

[00:12:10] TV executive, Scotty.

[00:12:11] Yeah.

[00:12:12] You can watch the Mariah Carey Christmas concert right now,

[00:12:14] Paramount Plus.

[00:12:15] If you do it, let us know.

[00:12:16] I'm not, I don't have any plans currently to give it a watch.

[00:12:19] But if you watch it, let us know if it's worth the free trial.

[00:12:22] How about that?

[00:12:23] Somebody, somebody bite that bullet for us.

[00:12:25] That'd be really great.

[00:12:26] No, because somebody is going to say that it's worth it

[00:12:28] just to see me suffer.

[00:12:30] Fair.

[00:12:31] Maybe, maybe Scotty, you can record yourself watching it

[00:12:35] and then we could all enjoy your misery.

[00:12:37] The live reaction video of seeing Scotty watch all I want for

[00:12:42] Christmas is you performed.

[00:12:44] There you go.

[00:12:45] That's what I'm talking about.

[00:12:46] Hey, Scotty, let's take a quick break.

[00:12:47] We'll come back with the TV listings in this week's

[00:12:49] Christmas music battle here on Christmas morning.

[00:12:56] We're back everybody.

[00:12:59] It is April 10th and you might be wondering to yourself,

[00:13:02] self, is there any Christmas TV?

[00:13:05] Well, the good news is we have one person that can tell us

[00:13:09] in his TV Scotty and we have them right here on the line.

[00:13:12] TV Scotty, Merry Christmas to you, my friend.

[00:13:14] Merry Christmas.

[00:13:15] While I'm not being a streaming executive,

[00:13:17] I'm also a Christmas television enthusiast.

[00:14:42] of days, courtesy of MostlyChristmas.com.

[00:14:45] Thank you TV Scotty, it is time for the Christmas

[00:14:48] music battle, let's get last week's battle out of the

[00:14:51] way and I gotta be honest with you,

[00:14:53] disappointed, I'm disappointed Scotty,

[00:14:56] I don't think they got it right this week.

[00:14:58] I was surprised by how much you and I lost by.

[00:15:01] Yeah, yeah, that's exactly right Scotty.

[00:15:03] It was a drug, we got, it was a drubbing.

[00:15:05] So first, your song, I believe in Father Christmas

[00:15:08] by Seven Day Conspiracy.

[00:15:12] I loved this one, I thought the vocals

[00:15:14] were fantastic with that growly voice.

[00:15:17] I have nothing nice to say right now.

[00:15:19] I have nothing nice to say so I'm going to keep

[00:15:21] it to myself but just know, I think,

[00:15:23] I think you, the listeners know in your heart of hearts

[00:15:26] that you done goofed this one out.

[00:15:28] You done goofed it out.

[00:15:29] That's right, I should mention you got 12 votes,

[00:15:31] that was 21.8% with Seven Day Conspiracy.

[00:15:34] I got 15 votes, 27.2% with I believe

[00:15:37] in Father Christmas by Mat Pop and In Isolation.

[00:15:41] I did not expect this one to do well at all.

[00:15:44] I just liked it because it was so different.

[00:15:47] I still believe strongly in the Seven Day Conspiracy

[00:15:50] but the listeners have voted 28 votes,

[00:15:53] 50.9% went to I believe in Father Christmas

[00:15:56] by Matt Nathanson.

[00:16:06] I just want to say folks,

[00:16:09] just because you know it doesn't make it good.

[00:16:13] Just because you've heard the name

[00:16:15] Matt Nathanson before doesn't make it the best

[00:16:19] of the week.

[00:16:21] I will die on this hill that this is wrong.

[00:16:30] Yes, this is better!

[00:16:33] All the Matt Nathanson stands came out of the woodwork

[00:16:35] to vote, well that's fine, sometimes it goes our way,

[00:16:38] sometimes it doesn't, sometimes they done goofed,

[00:16:40] sometimes they didn't but the song was brought to us

[00:16:43] by listener Adam Parker from the Mary Britsmus podcast.

[00:16:46] Thank you Adam, nice pick I guess.

[00:16:48] Thanks Adam, thanks.

[00:16:50] You're great, we love you.

[00:16:52] This week though is original Christmas music week

[00:16:55] which I always really enjoy, it's always a good time

[00:16:58] but it means that we just get a random bit of trivia

[00:17:01] which is always a lot of fun.

[00:17:03] Scotty what'd you bring for us today?

[00:17:05] Okay this time instead of just googling

[00:17:07] random Christmas song trivia or something

[00:17:09] which the results are starting to get a little thin on

[00:17:11] the first artist that came to mind when I thought

[00:17:13] of Christmas music was Michael Buble

[00:17:15] so I went to his Wikipedia page

[00:17:17] or Wikipedia, however you want to pronounce it

[00:17:19] and I did find a couple facts here

[00:17:22] that surprised me and I thought they'd make a good

[00:17:24] little bit of trivia. Michael Buble won a Juno Award

[00:17:27] which I learned is the Canadian equivalent

[00:17:29] of the Grammys for album of the year

[00:17:31] in 2012 with his album Christmas

[00:17:34] and then there was this cool fact

[00:17:36] that the first time his family noticed

[00:17:38] his singing talent was during the Christmas holidays

[00:17:40] when Buble was 13 years old

[00:17:42] they heard him powerfully sing the phrase

[00:17:44] may your days be merry and bright

[00:17:46] when the family was singing to the song

[00:17:48] White Christmas on a car ride.

[00:17:50] That's a cool fact.

[00:17:52] That is a very cool fact, thank you Scotty.

[00:17:54] Yeah and Michael Buble is 48 years old too

[00:17:56] and I had no idea that guy looks good

[00:17:58] for his age. Me not good for my age

[00:18:01] him awesome. He's somehow been around forever

[00:18:04] and still looks like he's just now being

[00:18:06] discovered like it's amazing.

[00:18:08] Yeah he's Dick Clark. It's amazing.

[00:18:10] It's phenomenal. So let's get to it.

[00:18:12] Up first is all the

[00:18:14] a reminder all of these songs are

[00:18:16] original songs that we found on

[00:18:18] Bandcamp which is always really

[00:18:20] fun. Up first is All the Bells

[00:18:22] by The Banana Splits a great band name.

[00:18:24] No, no, no, no. The Bandana

[00:18:26] splits. Oh the Bandana

[00:18:28] splits. Love that.

[00:18:30] All the bells, pretty bells

[00:18:32] of Christmas

[00:18:34] hear the ring ding-a-ling

[00:18:36] those songs we know

[00:18:38] I can tell

[00:18:40] by the sound of the bells

[00:18:42] it's Christmas

[00:18:44] it's going to be a wonderland

[00:18:46] out of snow

[00:18:48] we'll make snow angels

[00:18:50] in the backyard

[00:18:52] and tomorrow

[00:18:54] we'll go sledding

[00:18:56] till it's getting very dark

[00:18:58] we'll buy our own tree

[00:19:00] I'll ever green

[00:19:02] string it up with lights

[00:19:04] Yuletide Delights the best you've ever seen

[00:19:06] All the bells, pretty bells

[00:19:08] silver bells of Christmas

[00:19:10] hear the ring ding-a-ling

[00:19:12] ding-a-ling those special songs

[00:19:16] I can tell by the sound of the bells

[00:19:18] it's Christmas

[00:19:20] get ready for a Yuletide

[00:19:22] sing along

[00:19:30] That had a 50s vibe to it

[00:19:32] that I really enjoyed

[00:19:34] I liked it a lot

[00:19:36] it sounds like something you would hear

[00:19:38] in the background of a commercial

[00:19:40] I liked it

[00:19:42] had an Andrew's sister's quality

[00:19:44] Up next we have Santa Claus is Real

[00:19:46] by Ben Rendell

[00:19:48] Rendell

[00:20:02] On this Christmas Eve that he's real

[00:20:04] Christmas is real

[00:20:22] I put the milk and cookies out

[00:20:24] who don't try to hide it

[00:20:26] I can see your doubt

[00:20:28] but I saw him up on the roof

[00:20:30] last year

[00:20:32] I want to rise

[00:20:34] and felt the Christmas cheer

[00:20:36] I'm not letting the spirit go

[00:20:40] party you're nice and neat

[00:20:42] to know

[00:20:44] I don't care how you feel

[00:20:48] There are so many things that I like about this song

[00:20:50] I don't know about you, Bran

[00:20:52] this may be weird but it gave me this

[00:20:54] Uptown Funk kind of vibe to it

[00:20:56] maybe it's the voice

[00:20:58] Christmas Uptown Funk

[00:21:00] I like it

[00:21:02] Last but not least

[00:21:04] is Christmas

[00:21:06] Joe's Does This

[00:21:08] That would be a typo by email

[00:21:10] that was Christmas Does This

[00:21:12] to me by Matt Wurz

[00:21:28] Christmas is real

[00:21:58] I see

[00:22:02] and Christmas

[00:22:04] Just Does This

[00:22:06] to me

[00:22:12] Okay that was Smooth and Mellow

[00:22:14] Smooth and Mellow

[00:22:16] There's another Matt Wurz song

[00:22:18] that I really like called Snow Globe

[00:22:20] Matt Wurz has made his appearance

[00:22:22] on our show before at least in song form

[00:22:24] only once though I was surprised

[00:22:26] Does Matt Wurz have the Matt

[00:22:28] Nathan's In Effect let's find out

[00:22:30] Probably he looks kind of famous

[00:22:32] at least based on the album covers

[00:22:34] I want to mention that we got a lot of

[00:22:36] listener submissions this week

[00:22:38] we got submissions from Frank Napier, Brad Adams, Kim

[00:22:40] Gazarek, Lance Garmin, Tia King

[00:22:42] and Drew Basic. Thank you all

[00:22:44] for submitting. Bran what was your experience

[00:22:46] this week looking for originals

[00:22:48] did you have an easy time

[00:22:50] or was actually the only one that really struggled

[00:22:52] I think I've cracked the case

[00:22:54] I don't know

[00:22:56] here's what I do

[00:22:58] are you ready?

[00:23:00] type in Christmas

[00:23:02] click on where it says music tagged

[00:23:04] with the word Christmas

[00:23:06] sort by new release

[00:23:08] and then within that you can then

[00:23:10] pick a genre as well

[00:23:12] so depending on how I'm feeling

[00:23:14] I'll click on a thing and then just kind of go through

[00:23:16] the most recent ones

[00:23:18] and there's typically some sort of new

[00:23:20] original song out there

[00:23:22] that's how I have found my way to it

[00:23:24] wow

[00:23:26] no exaggeration

[00:23:28] it took me over an hour last night

[00:23:30] to find a song that I liked

[00:23:32] I struggled and struggled

[00:23:34] try it that way next time

[00:23:36] and see if it becomes

[00:23:38] it's not guaranteed

[00:23:40] that just because an album

[00:23:42] is a newer release

[00:23:44] there's original songs on it

[00:23:46] but I do find that it's more likely than not

[00:23:48] that makes a ton of sense

[00:23:50] but I do find that it's a very original Christmas song

[00:23:52] and then clicking the tracks

[00:23:54] the tab

[00:23:56] it's the same three pages of results over and over

[00:23:58] and they're getting pretty thin

[00:24:00] so I like your idea

[00:24:02] I'm going to give that one a shot

[00:24:04] but luckily I don't have to do that again for a month

[00:24:06] because next week

[00:24:08] instrumental Christmas music week

[00:24:10] which is my favorite week of the month

[00:24:12] well and also this is also how I've kind of been finding

[00:24:14] the instrumental songs too

[00:24:16] I like I kind of sort it

[00:24:18] you can kind of

[00:24:20] sometimes you can tell just by the cover art

[00:24:22] that it is an instrumental

[00:24:24] but I ran into the same problem

[00:24:26] when I type in like a Christmas instrumental

[00:24:28] like the search isn't great

[00:24:30] you've got to kind of

[00:24:32] finagle it a little bit

[00:24:34] in order to find something good

[00:24:36] I usually find my instrumental tracks

[00:24:38] in all the other weeks

[00:24:40] when I'm looking for something

[00:24:42] like an original

[00:24:44] and then I hear one and I'm like oh this is good

[00:24:46] against vocal tracks

[00:24:48] I do just want to say something that happened to me last month

[00:24:50] is I found a song that I was convinced

[00:24:52] was an instrumental and I was like this is a jam

[00:24:54] and then like a minute

[00:24:56] 30 seconds then someone starts singing

[00:24:58] and I'm like what

[00:25:00] where'd this come from so just make sure

[00:25:02] before you click send

[00:25:04] because then you'll be scrambling

[00:25:06] to find something else

[00:25:08] I've had the opposite effect happen where I hear a song

[00:25:10] it starts with some vocals

[00:25:12] and then they go silent for two minutes

[00:25:14] come on I can't

[00:25:16] play 10 seconds of vocal

[00:25:18] I feel like that should count

[00:25:20] if it's just like a

[00:25:22] and then it's just instrumental

[00:25:24] I think we're going to go

[00:25:26] we'll take it to a vote at Bramblefest this year

[00:25:28] there you go

[00:25:30] we did everybody congratulations

[00:25:32] go ahead and send in those submissions

[00:25:34] and please send in submissions for this week

[00:25:36] this month's Christmas party

[00:25:38] which is happening

[00:25:40] oh it's a Thursday

[00:25:42] we get the Wednesday episode

[00:25:44] right back to back

[00:25:46] so please send it in and it's happening in just a couple

[00:25:48] of weeks so please

[00:25:50] send some Christmas morning podcast

[00:25:52] at gmail.com

[00:25:54] Scotty anything that we missed?

[00:25:56] We didn't miss a single thing

[00:25:58] I can guarantee it

[00:26:00] I love that we're going to be back next week with another one until then

[00:26:02] Merry Christmas
