[00:01:01] Well, we're having temperatures in the 80s. No more surprise snows

[00:01:05] I just reposted something that came up in my Facebook memories this morning

[00:01:10] It said five years ago and it was several inches of snow and boy

[00:01:13] I'd rather have that yeah, then what we've been having

[00:01:16] But you can't complain about normal weather and normal around here at least out in Denver is weird in the spring

[00:01:23] And I love it. Yeah more than fair when what about school? When does school get out?

[00:01:27] So that school ends this Thursday. Okay. Yeah, so you're right there with us. Yeah school is done

[00:01:34] Today actually, yeah, and that last week of school is always I got I got I'm supposed to make brunch food for some

[00:01:40] Fifth-grade brunch tomorrow. We were I'm still in the midst of making a teacher gift. It's a busy week. It's a busy week

[00:01:47] No, what listen no one makes brunch like you I've always said that you would like my brunch

[00:01:51] I guarantee it features cheese and sausage an egg and hash brown potatoes. It's all love what you're I love what you're talking about there

[00:01:59] But thank you so much for taking the trip up to the North Pole

[00:02:02] Today in the midst of your busy week

[00:02:04] And it's only gonna get more busy Scott because we also have our Christmas party episode coming up in just a couple days

[00:02:10] So lots going on in the Christmas morning world as well. That's right. Well, there's nothing wrong with a little extra Christmas

[00:02:17] That's what I always say, especially since it's gonna be no episode next week. So, you know, I'm gonna be gone

[00:02:22] I'm gonna be on a little family vacation to Florida. So I

[00:02:27] Can't leave to go to the North Pole

[00:02:29] So we're just gonna take the week off Memorial Day week take it off and then we'll be back in June if a year-round

[00:02:34] Podcast is going to take a week off. I think Memorial Day is one of the good days. You could do that

[00:02:40] Yeah, I think well, I I think we'll get a pass on this one

[00:02:43] Hopefully hopefully people are okay

[00:02:45] If anybody is feeling down in the dumps because there's no Christmas morning next week

[00:03:24] Maybe just hold it until next Wednesday. If you if you are so used to that schedule

[00:03:29] Maybe you revolve your Wednesday around the show

[00:03:33] I don't know who you are, but some people do and so save that maybe for them if you want to

[00:04:02] I posted the last one in the inbox this morning

[00:04:06] There may be a couple stragglers here and there but I think the torrent is done and I have to hand it to the listeners

[00:04:13] 20 some odd days of

[00:04:16] Mug may photos. I had to set a reminder every day on my phone to go into Wow Xmas morning pod

[00:04:23] Instagram account and post a mug photo, but it's been fun and the reaction was great and I appreciate it

[00:04:29] And I gotta be honest that is without us

[00:04:32] Including our own mug collection because we probably got if we did that we could have extended this into

[00:04:38] June somehow. I don't know what the alliteration would be you and I could post year-round

[00:04:44] Probably yes

[00:04:44] I have to keep a box in the basement of

[00:04:47] Christmas mugs because I don't have room for all the mugs and we have a hard and fast rule in my house

[00:04:52] No stacking of mugs in the cabinet because when you're tired in the morning and you just want your coffee

[00:04:58] I'm not playing Jenga with the mugs. No, I don't want to do that. Yeah, there's I

[00:05:05] in a perfect world where I can have anything that I want to I would probably have a

[00:05:10] room devoted to mugs mugs and Christmas collectibles in general would be awesome

[00:05:15] That's my library

[00:05:17] Like a lot of people are like I want a library with all the books and a fireplace and whatnot

[00:05:22] And I say I don't hate the idea but instead of books

[00:05:25] Mugs, I don't want to go read great expectations. I want to take out Oh, look at that Christmas mug brand

[00:05:32] That's from art for isn't that a nice one? And we talk like old-timey prospectors and I I can't do this

[00:05:38] I don't have the money to do this, but I could

[00:05:41] Definitely go down the eBay rabbit hole of finding

[00:05:45] Vintage Christmas mugs and spend all of my money on them and and probably be okay with it to be honest with you

[00:05:52] I'm not huge on the idea of used mugs

[00:05:54] I have purchased them and I boy do I run those through the hot setting on the dishwasher?

[00:05:58] But it kind of grosses me out a little bit, but I'll do it for the right mug

[00:06:02] But in general now, it's not my thing for Christmas for Christmas. I'll do it. It's no different than a restaurant. I get that

[00:06:07] Yeah, it's not it's not probably it's better. I mean less mouths anyway

[00:06:12] I also want to thank everybody for the birthday wishes last week. That was very kind of everyone, man

[00:06:18] I feel every bit of 48 this week

[00:06:21] But a lot of doing stuff around the house for the last week and I'm tired

[00:06:26] I'm a tired guy, but but I'm here I made it to the North Pole

[00:06:29] I texted you the weirdest birthday Jeff I could find so you're welcome

[00:12:09] How Netflix is getting the NFL Christmas Day game? Well, you just did but okay

[00:12:15] I got a story that's

[00:12:18] Specific for you Scotty. All right. I'm all ears. What do you got? There has been a new

[00:12:24] law that has passed in Colorado

[00:12:28] That is finally going to allow the sale of liquor on Christmas Day

[00:12:34] Now for a long time Scotty Colorado has said you can sell it all

[00:12:40] year long whenever you want to just not on Christmas Day and

[00:12:44] That is no more Scotty Scotty

[00:12:46] You can go out if you are having a tough time with the with the in-laws or whatever

[00:12:52] Whoever's over at your house and you say I out boy. Do I need a little something?

[00:12:57] You can now make your way over to the liquor store on Christmas Day

[00:13:01] I saw this Scott and I thought of you and so I thought I would pass along this information

[00:13:07] That a very specific law has passed and you can now get yourself some Christmas Day liquor

[00:13:15] So what you're saying is people can finally get a little more Christmas spirit

[00:13:21] That's exactly right Scotty that's exactly right. I honestly didn't know that they weren't open on Christmas Day

[00:13:28] I had no idea it's never come up in my life

[00:13:31] We're kind of a libertarian state. So sure you want to sell liquor on Christmas Day go for it

[00:13:36] Whatever. Apparently, it's been a decades old ban on December 25th liquor sales. Okay, there you go

[00:13:42] You always wonder how those things got on the books in the first place, but I'm originally from New England

[00:13:47] We had all the blue laws

[00:13:48] So it just seems like normal to me that liquor stores are closed at weird times, but okay great good good for liquor stores

[00:13:56] And if you if you live in a state where it's not the case you can just be like hey

[00:14:01] I'm going out for a minute drive to Colorado and then and then drive back. So there you go

[00:19:33] I did not know the songs Snow Miser and Heat Miser were originally written by Maury Laws and Jules Bass

[00:19:40] For the 1974 Rankin Bass stop-motion animated special the year without a Santa Claus now, I knew it was from that special

[00:19:46] I didn't know Jules Bass of Rankin Bass fame was one of the writers of the song. That's really cool. That's interesting

[00:19:54] I wonder how much how involved Jules Bass was how like, you know, maybe sometimes

[00:20:01] Sometimes let me just throw my name on it

[00:20:03] You know cuz I kind of had the idea like it wasn't just an idea

[00:20:07] So he gets a they get a writing credit or what?

[00:20:09] I don't know. It's interesting don't know but let's give credit where it's due because at least they made a whole bunch of great specials

[00:21:44] This song does lend itself to like a little punk rock it felt right it felt right
