[00:00:12] Live from the North Pole, it's time for Christmas Morning

[00:00:17] The Daily Show where every day is Christmas

[00:00:22] Here are your hosts

[00:00:24] Bram and

[00:00:26] Scott

[00:00:34] Well, hello everybody and welcome to another episode of Christmas Morning

[00:00:38] It is your good friend, brand and your other good friend Scott Scott Merry Christmas pal

[00:00:51] I could not be happier if I tried Scotty

[00:00:54] Here's a little thing about Scotty that you don't know. I like my stresses to be linear

[00:01:00] I like them to come in order

[00:01:02] I don't like things coming at me from all angles and this is a tough week because it's so busy

[00:01:08] We've got today's episode. I just finished a tinsel tunes the other day. We've got Bramble Fest

[00:01:13] We've got our party episode. I'm not complaining

[00:01:16] I'm just a little bit frazzled, but we're gonna make it through it frazzled Scottie is my favorite Scotty frazzled Scotty

[00:01:23] Nobody wants frazzled Scotty. I want frazzled Scotty. I love you

[00:01:27] I love any sort of Scotty I can get well

[00:01:29] I sure do appreciate that

[00:01:30] You know who else loves us is all the people emailing us and who are patient that I have not gotten to their emails yet

[00:01:37] I was gonna say that mailbag looks a little stressed

[00:01:40] Oh my mailbag is a stressor unto itself. So why don't we get right into it?

[00:01:45] Let's do it

[00:01:45] Letters, we get letters, we get stacks, stacks, stacks of letters

[00:01:52] I've got an email from Chad from the Christmas Cousins podcast. He says

[00:01:55] Lovely

[00:01:56] Morning, Scott and Bram, I cannot get that Christmas biscuit song out of my head now

[00:02:01] I'm sure I'm not alone. Why would you do this to us?

[00:02:05] I'm even singing it around the house not realizing others are nearby. It's weird

[00:02:09] Please have that duet as guests on this holiday season toasters and moose, baby

[00:02:14] I wouldn't be opposed to talking to toasters and moose

[00:02:17] I would not be opposed to toasters moose

[00:02:20] Keep up the great work

[00:02:21] As always you guys rock the October countdown rocks and I cannot wait until you go daily on September 1st

[00:02:26] Uh-uh Chad, you can't just gaslight me into this one

[00:02:29] Yeah, I'll also Chad if we're gonna try to gaslight them. Let's gaslight them to October 1st

[00:02:34] Let's get a

[00:02:35] synchronized gaslighting message on board here one that's actually realistic. Yeah, that's right

[00:02:40] I've got an email from Kim Gazerach. She says hey guys. It's great to have you all back

[00:02:44] Just wanted to tell you Scott how excited I was to hear there's someone else who also loves watching qvc's Christmas programming

[00:02:52] I want to thank you for bringing up david's special this weekend. That would be david's great big Christmas

[00:02:57] He's definitely one of my favorite hosts and I would have for sure missed it if you hadn't mentioned it

[00:03:02] Hopefully there's plenty of happy dances. I did watch david's great big Christmas

[00:03:06] Uh-huh, that's really the only thing on qvc. I watched just it's all just oversized

[00:03:11] Stuff and I don't want to ever buy anything on qvc. I just treat it like background and I love it

[00:03:17] You love an oversized uh thing. We know that about you. Oh my gosh. Yeah that um that yeti that you had in your yard

[00:03:24] That was perfect. Yeah, I the one that scared your child. I should give that back to you

[00:03:28] I should give that to you and you can take it home on your way back to uh to colorado

[00:03:33] I've got an email from valerie hicks. Hi, brain and scott

[00:03:36] If you haven't heard the price of us forever postage stamps is increasing over 7% on july 14th

[00:03:43] And as i'm reading this brand we are past july 14th. Well, okay. Yeah, this is one that I don't know how I missed it

[00:03:49] I'm so sorry, but I you know

[00:03:52] She went out of her way to send this and I do want to read it even though

[00:03:55] There's nothing you can do about it right now as someone who sends out christmas cards every year

[00:03:59] That is a big hit to my budget. So I went online and stocked up on my christmas stamps

[00:04:04] I'm sharing this because my fellow christmas lovers might want to do the same. Well, I sure hope you guys did that

[00:04:09] There were several designs that you used from I got the cute christmas elf design because it made me think of you guys at the north pole

[00:04:15] By saving money on my stamps now. I can afford to enjoy more christmas treats in december

[00:04:20] Thank you for spreading joy all year long valerie from dentin texas valerie. I'm sorry. I missed this one

[00:04:26] It was really cool of you to try to help and then I blew it. Well, listen, we all we all make mistakes scotty and

[00:04:34] Some of us more than others and maybe maybe your lesson will be learned when you receive less christmas cards this year

[00:04:40] And you'll be like if only I had warned people

[00:04:43] I think last year I maybe got two christmas cards. Maybe three. I don't know. Did you get one for me? No

[00:04:49] Okay, I don't send them out probably because the the stamps went up in price. That's that's why I don't get it

[00:04:54] Probably yeah, I've got an email from lewis d. Hi everyone

[00:04:57] I just heard this week's episode with the original song battle lights by darling west

[00:05:02] My ears perked up and immediately looked it up on youtube. Have you checked out the song video?

[00:05:07] It's a home movie family thing the song and especially the song along with the video hit me like nothing before

[00:05:14] I lost my dad last year unexpectedly this past christmas 2023 was a tough one

[00:05:19] The song is so beautiful and I instantly teared up with emotion last christmas was the first year

[00:05:24] He wasn't there to make fun of me about how much I was a kid at christmas compared to everyone else

[00:05:30] This was by far the best original christmas song or even just song in general

[00:05:35] I've heard in a very very long time. It brought back so many memories and thoughts. It's now one of my favorites

[00:05:41] I love you guys and the christmas morning podcast keeps me in the mood year round

[00:05:45] Even if just for 30 minutes a week until the daily shows at the end of the year. Merry christmas, louis

[00:05:50] That was a very nice email. I'm sorry to hear that you lost your dad

[00:05:53] I did too last year and it's tough because my dad wasn't always like

[00:05:59] Visually into christmas and it almost seemed like he was just there along for the ride

[00:06:04] But I find myself remembering small little things that really make me happy and and i'm treating it like

[00:06:11] Like a gift that I have these happy little memories to remember so thank you for that email

[00:06:15] That was really nice of you and I also want to add i'll say I did bring that song

[00:06:19] You did we'll find out if it wins later in the show and I texted you when I found it and I said

[00:06:25] Finding original christmas tunes isn't always easy

[00:06:28] But I found one and it is the prettiest christmas song i've heard in a long time

[00:06:33] Such a such a great melody. I doubt it wins, but I adore it

[00:06:36] We will find out if it wins towards the end of the show, but I'm glad someone else was with me

[00:06:41] I just found this song to be a true a true delight. So it was really nice a beautiful email

[00:06:47] So thank you. So I still have a few emails to go

[00:06:49] I'm trying to spread them around and also remember that the week after bramblefest and the month after the bramblefest live party episode

[00:06:58] Are always a little tougher because it's hard to follow and act like that

[00:07:03] So if I haven't gotten to your email, don't despair probably

[00:07:08] I will get to it probably don't despair everybody. It's coming. It's coming. Yeah emails got me as a chump

[00:07:15] No, how are we doing in the reviews? We are doing well. I think we got one new one from the previous count

[00:07:22] But I do still have a couple to read this first one. This one's a humdinger. It's something go for it

[00:07:29] Something uh the subject it's it's from dmg ch j

[00:07:36] Uh christmas presents in the present is the subject

[00:07:40] I originally found this podcast last holiday season trying to fit more christmas into my day and to be honest

[00:07:47] I didn't make it through the first episode. I was like that brand character. What's his deal? He's too much

[00:07:54] Fair but after listening to dth. I figured it out

[00:07:57] He's the christmas hype man that we all need pair that would silky smooth tv scottie

[00:08:02] Like you have a pairing that goes together like pb and j

[00:08:06] I guess in this analogy scott adds a little bit of nuttiness to give it that extra texture

[00:08:12] Now, I can't wait for winzlin mornings. Yes, that was uh, uh, I've always said you add a little bit of texture

[00:08:19] Yeah, I am the texture man around here

[00:08:21] They say now I can't wait until winzlin mornings to get my weekly dose of christmas spirit to get me through

[00:08:27] To the next christmas season. Keep up the great work gents. We all

[00:08:31] Know this world can use a little extra christmas even if it's just for 30 minutes

[00:08:37] Very kind. I want to know why

[00:08:41] Why you like why you came back if if I was too much on this show

[00:08:44] Why you would think I'd be too much on deck the home bar, right?

[00:08:47] Just I've heard this before but uh, you know, we're all our own people. We're not everybody's taste

[00:08:54] That's right. Just just give us time. Just give us a holiday season

[00:08:58] One of my best friends of over 30 years bill

[00:09:00] He likes to tell the story that when I first met you scott. I thought you were a jerk. Oh, wow

[00:09:05] Yeah, couldn't stand me. So, uh, there you go. Well, there. Um, yeah, that's uh, it's nice

[00:09:10] I guess

[00:09:11] Brad, I've liked you from the get go buddy. Thanks scottie. The feeling is mutual. Uh,

[00:09:16] Do you got a joke for us by chance? I do. Are you ready for it? I'm ready. What would you get if you crossed santa with a giraffe?

[00:09:23] Oh

[00:09:24] santa with a giraffe a

[00:09:27] Ho ho

[00:09:29] Long neck. I got nothing you were on the right track. It's uh, st neck

[00:09:35] Waka waka. Okay

[00:09:38] I don't hate it

[00:09:40] You don't love it. I can tell no

[00:09:42] That's not what I said. I say I don't hate it

[00:09:44] You're doing that thing that you do with your five year old like good job, buddy. Yeah

[00:09:50] maybe

[00:09:52] St neck

[00:09:55] St neck everybody, let's see the camera. It's tough around here

[00:10:02] 161 days until priceless

[00:10:06] One six one one six one

[00:10:10] 23 weeks from now we will be celebrating christmas

[00:10:14] How about that and remember it's not christmas day that i'm necessarily looking forward to it's the entire christmas season

[00:10:21] That's exactly right scottie and it's already starting to show up in these tiny little doses all over the place

[00:10:28] And that is what I need to get through these absurdly hot summer temperatures

[00:10:33] It is very hot, but I will say it is looking like it's going to be a little bit more

[00:10:38] Bearable this weekend at bramble fest just for you

[00:10:40] I actually checked the weather last night and it's going to be

[00:10:43] Warmer in denver at certain points than it is in greenville. Although that humidity man

[00:10:48] That's air you can wear down there. It'll it'll hit you right in the face

[00:10:52] That's for sure

[00:10:53] But yeah the fact that we're I think it's uh, it's just our luck

[00:10:57] It was like it was kind of like that last year for bramble fest

[00:10:59] So i'm happy and good chances of rain and you know me. I love rain so much. I know you love rain

[00:11:04] But good news. It's only 76 days until october 1st

[00:11:11] Man that hit today scottie. I gotta be honest with you that hit today 76

[00:11:15] It sounds really really doable at this point. I was so hot this week bram

[00:11:20] I popped into michaels to look at halloween stuff because I knew it would give me fall feels totally worked too

[00:11:26] I was yeah really just kind of captivated and lost in it for about 10 minutes

[00:11:31] Like I forgot about everything else. I was stressing about and just really enjoyed it

[00:11:35] So maybe that might help somebody just kind of go look at it. Just go look at it everybody

[00:11:39] That's right and smell it. I love those cinnamon brooms. Oh who doesn't love a cinnamon broom

[00:11:44] I've got some news if you want it. Let's do it

[00:11:50] Today is july 17th

[00:11:53] Here's the news

[00:11:55] I try scottie to spread out the wealth when it comes to the news because

[00:12:01] To be honest if I wanted to every week I could do

[00:12:05] Some sort of new hallmark movies filming. Have you heard about it? Yeah, so I try not to do that

[00:12:11] But there was some news that came out over the past week that I do think is worth noting

[00:12:16] Mainly because it's different than what we are used to

[00:12:19] Uh

[00:12:20] Hallmark has gotten into the streaming game in the past with homergoos now

[00:12:24] That is going to change the hallmark plus because they heard about bramble jam plus and they said that's awesome

[00:12:31] That's a good idea

[00:12:31] We should do. I don't know if you know, we were the first ones to ever do plus so everybody's just taking it from us

[00:12:38] Yeah, we've worked out great for them

[00:12:40] That's exactly right that's still thriving as yeah

[00:12:42] Anyway, there's going to be some things premiering on there and whatnot. Of course, they'll still

[00:12:49] have all their 40 movies that'll air on regular linear television, but they are getting into

[00:12:56] the unscripted reality TV game this holiday season.

[00:13:01] Okay.

[00:13:02] Two shows. One is called Finding Mr. Christmas is hosted by Jonathan Bennett and my pal,

[00:13:08] Melissa Peterman, and they are going to try to find the next hallmark hunk, which seems

[00:13:15] very funny.

[00:13:16] This is actually a really clever idea. I saw this and at first I saw reality. I rolled my

[00:13:21] eyes and thought, man, I'd rather get a paper cut on top of a sunburn than watch a reality

[00:13:26] thing. But then I saw this and I'm like, oh, this is actually a good idea, especially

[00:13:29] if it's just a little bit tongue in cheek, like a little bit making fun of themselves,

[00:13:33] which I expect.

[00:13:34] Yeah.

[00:13:35] All the hiring actors will live together and compete in a variety of entertaining and

[00:13:39] festive challenges. The winner will get a leading role in a countdown to Christmas movie, which

[00:13:47] is pretty funny.

[00:13:48] The question is, was hallmark daddy asked to participate in this?

[00:13:51] No one asked.

[00:13:52] No one asked.

[00:13:53] What a miss.

[00:13:54] Huge miss.

[00:13:55] I know. I know. Imagine me chopping wood with my shirt off, Scotty.

[00:13:58] We all want to see that.

[00:13:59] I know. Maybe I'll do it at Bramble Fest.

[00:14:02] What's the second reality show?

[00:14:04] Reset glow is the other show. And this seems a little bit more up your alley, Scotty. It's

[00:14:09] a holiday light showcase spectacular hosted by West Brown that will premiere on Hallmark

[00:14:14] Plus. It's just three episodes. It's a limited series. It's going to take people around

[00:14:18] the country to find the most impressive and festive display and also tell some sweet

[00:14:23] stories. So very much like Christmas light fight, but this is hosted by West Brown.

[00:14:27] So it's totally different.

[00:14:28] It's totally different. And they're going to, you know, they'll hallmark it up.

[00:14:31] They say they're going to find some heartfelt and often emotional stories behind the displays.

[00:14:35] So it's not just like who can do Christmas best, but it's also who can do Christmas and

[00:14:39] make you cry.

[00:14:40] Yeah. Usually with great Christmas light fight, it's like, oh yeah, this is the first year

[00:14:45] since grandma died and she always loved doing it.

[00:14:47] They always go with that emotion. I hope they go just a slightly different track with

[00:14:52] it. But who am I to say I don't want to see more Christmas decorating? Of course

[00:14:57] I do. And I think I texted you. In fact, I know I texted you just the other week.

[00:15:02] I was watching great Christmas light fight reruns in July and I said it's so much better

[00:15:07] to watch this in July than it is in December when you're full up with Christmas.

[00:15:11] Yeah, I can see that. I don't really watch it during the holiday season because there's

[00:15:15] just so much other stuff going on.

[00:15:16] So it's not my thing. And I don't know. I would say give it a shot if you're

[00:15:21] if you're needing a little extra Christmas dose. July is the time to watch it.

[00:15:26] It is. It is the time and Hey, Scott, yeah, I'll let you use my Hallmark account if you

[00:15:31] want to. No, no, no, no, we don't do that kind of stuff around here. Uh-uh.

[00:15:34] We would never do that. Just never, never, never, never, never do that.

[00:15:38] Let's take a quick break. We'll come back and we will get to the TV specials

[00:15:42] and the Christmas song battle here on Christmas morning.

[00:15:50] Welcome back everybody. We're talking about some Christmas TV TV.

[00:15:55] Scotty is in the house and there's a lot going on because it's Christmas in July.

[00:15:59] So I don't want to waste any more time TV.

[00:16:01] Scotty, what do we got going on this week?

[00:16:03] Oh my gosh, we have so many. And again, we're going to do just the Hallmark

[00:16:07] channel movies that are on because otherwise I've got pages and pages of results.

[00:16:13] So if that's not your thing, you got two options here.

[00:16:15] One, go to mostly Christmas dot com and see all the other things that are on

[00:16:18] there are sitcoms and those kind of specials littered in, but I'm not reading

[00:16:23] those today. And two, I don't know, just hit fast forward a couple of times here

[00:16:26] if this isn't your thing. So there you are the Hallmark channel Christmas

[00:18:57] There you go.

[00:18:58] There you go. So much.

[00:19:00] Well, there's actually one more day.

[00:19:01] Do you want me not to read Tuesday?

[00:19:03] I think the moral of the story, Scott,

[00:19:05] is just to turn on homework.

[00:19:07] Just turn on homework. Just turn it on.

[00:19:08] That sounds good.

[00:19:09] So those are your Christmas TV specials

[00:19:11] for the next couple of days.

[00:19:12] CourtesyOfMostlyChristmas.com.

[00:19:14] Thank you, TV Scotty.

[00:19:15] It is time for the Christmas music battle.

[00:19:17] You know it's bad when Bran is getting tired of the listings.

[00:19:20] No, I would never.

[00:19:21] I would never.

[00:19:21] That's something.

[00:19:22] You just want to get to the battle

[00:19:24] because you've got good news.

[00:19:25] I just realized I had very...

[00:19:27] I have good news and it's close news too.

[00:19:29] Boy, let's get to the Christmas music battle.

[00:19:32] In last place.

[00:19:33] Last week was original Christmas music week.

[00:19:34] In last place, I'm sorry to the cousins

[00:19:38] and everybody else that love the toasters and mousse.

[00:19:42] Christmas biscuits came in last place.

[00:19:44] Eight whole votes though.

[00:19:46] Eight pity votes.

[00:19:47] And one of them was my own.

[00:19:50] It's okay.

[00:19:51] I knew this wasn't for everybody.

[00:19:52] I just thought it was so funny.

[00:19:53] It had to be brought.

[00:19:55] There you go.

[00:19:56] Taste the biscuits.

[00:19:57] Taste the biscuit with that honey sauce.

[00:20:00] Yeah, I mean the original is better, you know?

[00:20:03] It's fine.

[00:20:03] I knew it wasn't going to win.

[00:20:05] In second place,

[00:20:06] it's Dandy Durgis with Christmas set.

[00:20:10] The old folks home.

[00:20:12] It's a nice little tin.

[00:20:13] This one bums me out.

[00:20:15] A 24 votes, only 2.1%.

[00:20:18] It got way more than I thought it would.

[00:20:20] Pretty good showing.

[00:20:21] Yeah.

[00:20:22] And this was brought to us by a listener

[00:20:23] and I didn't write down who it was

[00:20:25] and that makes me a jerk.

[00:20:26] I'm sorry.

[00:20:27] I'll look it up.

[00:20:28] It does not make you a jerk at all.

[00:20:29] Kind of.

[00:20:30] Someone went out of their way to submit it

[00:20:32] and I don't even give them the credit they need.

[00:20:34] Well, I think they know though

[00:20:36] and their heart of hearts that they did it.

[00:20:38] It was Mary Pulte.

[00:20:39] I've got it, everybody.

[00:20:40] Calm down, everyone.

[00:20:41] We got it.

[00:20:41] Mary Pulte, thank you.

[00:20:43] Relax.

[00:20:43] We got it.

[00:20:44] Which means in first place

[00:20:46] with only one more vote than Dandy Durgis

[00:20:49] and I didn't even vote for myself.

[00:20:50] So this is a true victory.

[00:20:52] This is Lights by Darling West.

[00:20:55] Apparently the most beautiful song of all time.

[00:20:58] That's all my words.

[00:21:00] Norwegian Christmas music, everybody.

[00:21:03] It's something you didn't know you needed

[00:21:04] but you have it.

[00:21:05] This is a sweet song, Brian.

[00:21:07] It's not really my cup of tea

[00:21:08] because we've talked about this before.

[00:21:10] I like songs to bring me tons of joy

[00:21:13] but I understand that there are more

[00:21:15] melancholy type songs that people enjoy

[00:21:18] or ones that are just really muted

[00:21:20] and that's what I would call this.

[00:21:21] I absolutely think it's beautiful.

[00:21:23] I think the sentiment is there

[00:21:25] and I'm glad people like especially

[00:21:27] you know people like Louis D who emailed in.

[00:21:29] I have just like different

[00:21:32] pockets of Christmas music

[00:21:33] and this would fit perfect

[00:21:34] and like the early morning coffee.

[00:21:38] I just want some calm Christmas music

[00:21:41] and this would fit right in on that.

[00:21:43] So I...

[00:21:44] Yeah, I just did a metal Christmas music episode

[00:21:47] of Tinseltunes which I'm still

[00:21:49] wondering how it's going to be received

[00:21:52] and we were talking about that very thing

[00:21:54] like there's a time and a place

[00:21:55] for different styles of Christmas music.

[00:21:57] This is not the Christmas party.

[00:21:59] This is not the rockin' around the Christmas tree

[00:22:01] like I brought onto the Dislist episode

[00:22:03] and it was so well received by everyone.

[00:22:06] Not a signal dissenter.

[00:22:07] And I just by the way

[00:22:08] and I don't know if you saw this

[00:22:10] but your episode of the Dislist

[00:22:13] on The Home Mark,

[00:22:15] rave reviews in fact Scotty.

[00:22:17] People...

[00:22:18] Rave reviews for everyone's music except mine.

[00:22:21] But somebody literally left a review

[00:22:24] and said brand Scott and Dan

[00:22:25] the Christmas song Dislist that you did

[00:22:27] was so much fun.

[00:22:28] Enjoyed the banter between you guys.

[00:22:30] It was nice to hear snippets of the songs too.

[00:22:32] So it's not...

[00:22:33] Listen, people loved it.

[00:22:34] Literal reviews Scotty.

[00:22:36] It was fun.

[00:22:36] I'm really glad we got to do it

[00:22:38] and we got good points all around

[00:22:40] especially by me.

[00:22:41] Especially by you of course.

[00:22:42] Let's get to this week's battle

[00:22:44] which is instrumental Christmas battle.

[00:22:47] Love instrumental.

[00:22:48] You got a fun little fact for us by chance.

[00:22:50] I do and boy do I have to keep digging

[00:22:52] to try to think and find something

[00:22:55] to bring but I found one.

[00:22:56] Do you ever regret starting something?

[00:22:57] I totally regret it yes.

[00:22:59] According to Willie Nelson

[00:23:01] his song Pretty Paper was inspired by a disabled man

[00:23:05] who could not walk but sold paper and pencils

[00:23:08] outside a department store in Fort Worth, Texas.

[00:23:10] I think I might have heard that before.

[00:23:13] A nice little story.

[00:23:14] How about that?

[00:23:15] That is very fun.

[00:23:16] Very fun fact for you.

[00:23:18] Pretty Paper.

[00:23:19] Do you like that song?

[00:23:20] I like it way more than I thought I did.

[00:23:22] Fair.

[00:23:23] And when I see it all of a sudden

[00:23:25] I usually start going pretty paper

[00:23:28] pretty ribbons.

[00:23:30] You know that kind of thing.

[00:23:31] Yep.

[00:23:31] It's like Chad over there going Christmas biscuit.

[00:23:36] Right.

[00:23:36] Absolutely.

[00:23:38] Up first we have God rest you,

[00:23:39] Mary gentlemen by Marvin McNew.

[00:24:27] A nice track boy.

[00:24:29] I love instrumental week.

[00:24:30] I do too buddy.

[00:24:31] That was fantastic.

[00:24:32] Marvin McNew.

[00:24:34] How about that?

[00:24:35] Up next we got White Christmas by Maurice Brown.

[00:25:24] Little slower on that one

[00:25:26] an R&B feel.

[00:25:27] I enjoyed that.

[00:25:28] A little like smooth jazz with just straight trumpet lead.

[00:25:33] I like that.

[00:25:33] Yeah.

[00:25:34] That's nice.

[00:25:34] Very nice.

[00:25:35] Last but not least we have We Three Kings.

[00:25:38] Oh, I like this by Lester Leroy.

[00:26:32] Another great track here.

[00:26:33] I think we got three good ones this week, Brynn.

[00:26:35] I think so too.

[00:26:36] This is going to be a close one.

[00:26:37] I'm excited to see who wins.

[00:26:38] And if you have a feeling that one of them is mine,

[00:26:42] will you vote for me?

[00:26:43] Because I'm trying to make a comeback.

[00:26:44] Trying to make a comeback.

[00:26:45] You are making a comeback though.

[00:26:46] You're crawling your way back into this contest.

[00:26:48] Just one win at a time, everybody.

[00:26:50] One win at a time.

[00:26:52] That's right.

[00:26:52] You're earning them.

[00:26:53] You're definitely earning them.

[00:26:55] We got Lester submissions this week from Lance Garmin,

[00:26:57] Mitch Mull and Kim Gazzarek.

[00:26:58] Thank you all for submitting.

[00:27:00] Thank you.

[00:27:00] Thank you.

[00:27:00] Thank you.

[00:27:01] What do we have next week, Scott?

[00:27:02] Do you want to pick the song?

[00:27:03] Yeah, I did have to go back and figure out who's it was.

[00:27:06] It's mine.

[00:27:07] And we're going to go with a song that I'm not sure

[00:27:10] how it's going to be received.

[00:27:11] Okay.

[00:27:12] It's Merry Christmas.

[00:27:13] I don't want to fight today.

[00:27:14] Okay.

[00:27:14] I believe the original was from the Ramones

[00:27:16] and I thought there is no way that Bandcamp

[00:27:20] has enough covers of this.

[00:27:22] Oh, it does.

[00:27:23] Just pages and pages and pages.

[00:27:25] So I was really surprised.

[00:27:26] We'll see what happens.

[00:27:28] I'm curious to see what people do with this song.

[00:27:31] Very intrigued.

[00:27:32] Very intrigued indeed to see what happens.

[00:27:34] But go ahead and take a look.

[00:27:36] Send in some submissions for next week.

[00:27:38] And don't forget it's a double release week

[00:27:40] next week because it's a Christmas party.

[00:27:42] So look forward to that.

[00:27:44] What day is the 25th?

[00:27:45] I think it's a Saturday.

[00:27:47] Okay.

[00:27:48] I like it when there's enough space between the two episodes,

[00:27:50] you know, but it's the luck of the draw on the calendar.

[00:27:53] You don't know what you're going to get.

[00:27:54] No way wrong.

[00:27:54] It's Thursday.

[00:27:55] It's back to back days.

[00:27:56] Wednesday, Thursday.

[00:27:58] Okay.

[00:27:58] Well, take that back then.

[00:27:59] It's still good though.

[00:28:00] It's still good.

[00:28:01] You could wait until Saturday to listen to it.

[00:28:03] You can do whatever you want to.

[00:28:04] Like I just finished getting through

[00:28:05] all my DTH episodes from The Cruise.

[00:28:08] And I listened to them out of order.

[00:28:09] Don't do that.

[00:28:09] Oh, you got to go in order.

[00:28:12] Patrick Serrano out of order makes no sense.

[00:28:14] There's a lot of callbacks.

[00:28:16] Love you, Patrick.

[00:28:17] I think we did it.

[00:28:18] We did.

[00:28:18] And I'm going to see you in just a couple days.

[00:28:21] I can't wait, Scotty.

[00:28:22] It's going to be a lot of fun to all the listeners

[00:28:24] that are coming.

[00:28:25] So good to see you as well.

[00:28:26] So very excited.

[00:28:27] And we've got a heck of a Christmas party episode

[00:28:30] coming.

[00:28:31] A lot of people want to come and present their

[00:28:34] Christmas memories or their thoughts or their whatever.

[00:28:37] So if you've emailed me about that,

[00:28:39] make sure you find me on Friday and let me know what you want to do.

[00:28:44] Scotty, we'll be back next week with two episodes until then.

[00:28:47] Merry Christmas.

[00:28:58] You're about to hear some ads that help pay for our trip

[00:29:00] back and forth to the North Pole.

[00:29:02] Feel free to listen.

[00:29:03] Feel free to bail now.

[00:29:04] But either way, thanks for being here.
