We’re one month closer to Christmas!!!
[00:00:00] This is a Bramble Jam Podcast
[00:00:05] Live from the North Pole, it's time for Christmas Morning, the Daily Show where every day is Christmas.
[00:00:22] Here are your hosts, Brand and Scott.
[00:00:30] Well hello all you party people.
[00:00:37] People don't think we can do this, Scotty.
[00:00:39] People think it's illegal for us to do an episode two days in a row and I say no, no, sir, no it is not.
[00:00:46] Those people are incorrect.
[00:00:48] They are incorrect.
[00:00:49] We had an episode yesterday, it was so much fun but today, Christmas party.
[00:00:52] It's the 25th, we have to have a party.
[00:00:54] We are legally obligated, first of all.
[00:00:57] But second of all, what better way to celebrate April than back-to-back Christmas Morning episode, Scotty?
[00:01:03] That's right, there is no other Christmas in your life right now with maybe the possibility of a Christmas mug here or there.
[00:01:09] But beyond that, it's a dry season right now so let's overload the people with content.
[00:01:14] And I hear a familiar giggle, Scotty, which is very exciting.
[00:01:19] Well it's a semi familiar giggle.
[00:01:21] Now Shannon couldn't be here this month because of scheduling conflicts.
[00:01:24] We love Shannon, Shannon will be back.
[00:01:27] But our wonderful friend, Jax, is filling in for Shannon and we couldn't be more excited.
[00:01:32] Jax, thanks for being here.
[00:01:33] Thanks for having me you guys.
[00:01:35] Shannon I miss you.
[00:01:37] Can't we tell you at Bramble Fest when we can Christmas party all together in one place?
[00:01:42] You know, Bran, that's going to be interesting.
[00:01:43] This year for the Christmas party at Bramble Fest that we record,
[00:01:47] we're going to have to have Jax and Shannon at the same time and I hope there's no cat fighting on stage.
[00:01:51] I don't think there would be.
[00:01:52] I hope there is.
[00:01:53] Alright, okay.
[00:01:54] Bran kind of party.
[00:01:55] Okay.
[00:01:56] Kitty likes to scratch.
[00:01:57] Yeah, that's right.
[00:01:58] Kitty likes to scratch.
[00:02:00] I got to be honest though, Scotty, I have a Christmas itch that I would like to scratch
[00:02:04] and I think there's no better way to scratch that itch than with the Christmas countdown.
[00:02:07] Let's do it.
[00:02:08] Joy to the world.
[00:02:12] Eight months in silk or is this eight months eight months.
[00:02:22] It feels like it was just nine.
[00:02:24] It sure does, Scott.
[00:02:25] It's crazy how time works and months and whatnot.
[00:02:28] Eight feels better than nine which felt better than 10.
[00:02:31] We're rolling now baby.
[00:02:34] Jax have you heard that the older you get the more it seems that time goes faster.
[00:02:37] Have you heard that theory?
[00:02:38] Yes, I have.
[00:02:39] And I agree with it in the sense that like a month when you're one month old is your whole
[00:02:46] life so month feels so long because that's all you know but the older we get the less
[00:02:51] time do you know what I'm saying?
[00:02:54] It sounds like I'm high and I'm not.
[00:02:56] As a portion of your life it is a greater relative ratio when you're old like me.
[00:03:01] Wait see that was the smartest best way you could have said it.
[00:03:05] So I'm saying again so that I can repeat it when I'm trying to tell people this theory.
[00:03:09] I've already lost it Jax.
[00:03:11] When you get old like me time seems to absolutely fly by.
[00:03:14] Brian when I say it felt like nine months it really did feel like nine months.
[00:03:18] It also feels like two weeks ago was Halloween so I don't know what's going on.
[00:03:22] I know time times while what if it's not real what if it's all construct.
[00:03:26] That's right.
[00:03:27] It's a social construct but eight months until Christmas.
[00:03:29] Jax what did you tell us last time?
[00:03:31] You had some sage wisdom it was it was like well you could say it's eight months
[00:03:36] but in reality we're gonna start seeing Christmas in September.
[00:03:40] So that's like four months from now so we might as well put the decorations up.
[00:03:45] With Christmas in July coming we're gonna kick it off and we'll be together.
[00:03:49] So I feel like really the Christmas spirit when you're the three of us can start anytime.
[00:03:54] It's happening right now I'm in a Christmas sweater.
[00:03:56] Yeah you are.
[00:03:57] Yes you are and it's lovely.
[00:03:59] Here's the secret though Jax.
[00:04:01] Brian and I never stop celebrating Christmas so it's not like we have to start at some time.
[00:04:05] If you never stop you don't have to start.
[00:04:07] That's beautiful.
[00:04:08] It's like Lay's potato chips.
[00:04:10] How so?
[00:04:11] Nope it's like Pringles the potato chips.
[00:04:15] Christmas is delicious that's your theory.
[00:04:17] Once you pop the Christmas don't stop.
[00:04:20] I wasn't even gonna correct you on that brand because I like Lay's so much better than Pringles that I was like he's right.
[00:04:27] That's incorrect I'm sorry.
[00:04:28] It's like Lay's you can't celebrate Christmas just once.
[00:04:33] I think this metaphor is getting a bit tortured so why don't we get into our content today.
[00:04:38] Brian what are you going to do to introduce each of our segments today?
[00:04:42] You always have something different up your sleeve.
[00:04:44] I got a little maybe a little rap ready for you.
[00:04:47] Alright I'm as ready as I'm gonna be let's hear it the first segment we're gonna talk today about is Christmas decorating so take it away.
[00:04:58] Holly holly jolly.
[00:04:59] Dekka halls light so bright.
[00:05:02] Tinsel shimmers a festive sight.
[00:05:05] Ornmans danglin the bell so loud.
[00:05:08] Christmas decorations in its docks right now go.
[00:05:12] Okay first that was incredible.
[00:05:14] Second Jacks I don't think that was improv'd.
[00:05:17] I think that was written down but I was watching Brand's eyes and I couldn't see him reading so he's just good at this.
[00:05:23] No I had it written down.
[00:05:25] Okay I didn't trust my I didn't trust my freestyle skills it's been it's been a few years since I've free styled.
[00:05:32] Well it was wonderful thank you.
[00:05:34] Jacks would you mind reading our first email today this is from Nicholas Linsman who goes by Saint Nick.
[00:05:41] Saint Nick.
[00:05:42] Yes I would love to hear the email from Saint Nick.
[00:05:46] Merry Christmas fellas as you know my wife and I love 80s 90s nostalgia.
[00:05:51] We have a handful of Christmas cards blank ones with old Christmas artwork that we sent out for the holidays but we love things for our house as well.
[00:05:59] We found this unused Christmas window clinging at a flea market for three bucks and we had to have it.
[00:06:05] This will look incredible in our kitchen windows this upcoming season.
[00:06:09] I'm always on the lookout for things like this.
[00:06:11] Merry Christmas Nicholas Saint Nick Linsman.
[00:06:15] This is really cool.
[00:06:17] Here's the thing about Christmas Scotty he loves the window clings.
[00:06:21] My mom was very particular about not messing up her house growing up but we were allowed to use window clings because they easily came off.
[00:06:28] I want this.
[00:06:29] Why is it called a cling and not just like a decal or a sticker?
[00:06:33] Because it peels right off it's not actually adhesive it's I don't know there's you know science and stuff it's just it kind of like just you know it hears to the window but easily comes right off and if it gets dirty you wash it and you can just put it right back on it's a cling.
[00:06:46] It's a cling just like my ex-wife.
[00:06:50] I don't know man.
[00:06:51] I will post this photo on our Instagram of course but what a cool find.
[00:06:56] I wish you had a whole box of them Nick because I would ask you to send me one.
[00:06:59] Now you're just trying to get free stuff Scott.
[00:07:01] That was the goal of starting podcasting in the first place was free stuff.
[00:07:05] You're being a real cling right now Scott a real cling.
[00:07:09] Stage five cling.
[00:07:10] The stage five.
[00:07:11] I've got exactly one thing from podcasting and that was a 45 RPM record.
[00:07:16] That's actually really great.
[00:07:17] It was pretty good though.
[00:07:18] It was really cool.
[00:07:19] I really appreciate that.
[00:07:20] Nick thank you for sending this.
[00:07:21] I love your flea market finds.
[00:07:23] Jack's last party it was like a five foot tall candy cane for his front door.
[00:07:28] So Nick is scoring.
[00:07:30] St. Nick you're amazing.
[00:07:31] He's better than all of us.
[00:07:32] He's better than all of us.
[00:07:33] That's for sure.
[00:07:34] Well he's definitely better than you guys.
[00:07:35] That is true.
[00:07:36] And that's fair.
[00:07:37] Thank you Jacks for clarifying.
[00:07:39] Brand that was our only Christmas decorating today but the next segment is going to be Christmas travels and traditions.
[00:07:45] Do you have something for us?
[00:07:47] Does that answer your question?
[00:07:49] Absolutely it does.
[00:07:50] All right just for you.
[00:07:52] Are you ready?
[00:07:53] Mm-hmm.
[00:07:55] Christmas travels traditions unite from east to west under starlight gather around the tree we sing with joy memories made ring a ling.
[00:08:03] That wasn't good.
[00:08:04] It wasn't good.
[00:08:05] Dang it.
[00:08:06] Do you want to drop the beat together?
[00:08:08] We can riff.
[00:08:09] Yeah that would do better.
[00:08:10] Let's do it.
[00:08:11] We'll do it right next time.
[00:08:13] Hold on for that next segment.
[00:08:15] We have an audio clip today from Breanne Cummings.
[00:08:18] She emailed me a couple weeks ago and said I'm going on a trip this weekend to the Christmas farm in and spa in New Hampshire.
[00:08:25] She wanted to send pictures and an audio review of the inn so let's give that a listen.
[00:08:30] Hello morning people.
[00:08:32] This is Breanne Cummings.
[00:08:33] This is the first time I'm making a voice memo so please excuse if this doesn't come out so great.
[00:08:39] Anyway I wanted to share with you my recent Christmas experience that I had.
[00:08:44] Every year for Christmas Santa brings my two boys who are currently five and seven all the presents that they ask for, the latest toys and everything that they wish for.
[00:08:54] My husband and I always want to give the boys some kind of experience because God knows they need more things.
[00:09:00] So in years past we've done things like monster truck shows, annual passes to Legoland but now that they're five and seven we decided it's time to start taking them on some fun vacations.
[00:09:12] I also want to visit every state in the United States so I wanted to cross another state off my bucket list.
[00:09:19] So this year we went to New Hampshire and in my search for things for New Hampshire I found a quaint little inn called the Christmas farm in and spa in Jackson, New Hampshire.
[00:09:30] So I thought I'd share with you my experience this week at the Christmas farm in and spa.
[00:09:35] A little fun fact, the building I believe was built in 1798 and it's called the Christmas farm because the original owner got the farm as a Christmas present.
[00:09:45] Now I don't know what came first, the farm in and spa or the Christmas feel of the town but I found out that there were a lot of other Christmas references in this area.
[00:09:56] For one when you pull up to the area there is a Nestle Nook estate.
[00:10:02] I also saw a sleigh ride area. There's also a Christmas loft which was a big shop for Christmas presents and decor and there's also an amusement park in the area called Santa's Village which all the rides are Christmas themed and I believe you can even go see reindeer.
[00:10:22] Now I made the mistake of going for a spring break which was a great time for me because I had it off as a teacher and my children had it off from school but it's a time of year where the Christmas farm in is definitely hints of Christmas everywhere.
[00:10:40] The room we stayed in was named to Dasher. We were across the hall from Santa and Mrs. Claus. They were pictures on the wall but it wasn't all decked out for Christmas.
[00:10:50] Also if you go during the Christmas season it's in the mountains so there's a lot of winter activities like skiing, snowboarding, sledding things of that nature.
[00:11:01] And on the opposite end starting in May is when Santa's Village opens and you could go to the amusement park. So I missed both of those things.
[00:11:11] It was also a little too cold to go hiking in the mountains. We did it very quickly. So overall I thought it was very cute, great feel.
[00:11:20] If you love a mountain town it was very cute. The Christmas loft in my opinion was awesome. Lots of stuff just to walk through even if you're not looking to buy anything.
[00:11:31] It was room after room of different kind of theme, decorations. There was one room of all Christmas lights.
[00:11:38] There was a whole Christmas village with animatronics to walk through. My husband was a little creeped out by it and so was my five year old but me and my seven year old loved it.
[00:11:48] And I would love to go back for the Santa's Village amusement park from what I've read. It's kind of a younger child's amusement park with the rides geared more towards younger children
[00:12:00] but it's an experience definitely. And I'm assuming that the Christmas farm in goes all out for Christmas. So it would be a great place to stay at the Christmas season.
[00:12:10] They had a cute little barn where they held events. They were having an adult prom over there. I didn't go because we obviously had my children
[00:12:19] but they had a cute little setup with the barn where they probably have lots of fun activities given the Christmas season.
[00:12:26] And the whole spa was just cute. There obviously wasn't actual spa and throughout the grounds there were different little cottages that you could stay in, even dog friendly ones.
[00:12:36] So I would definitely recommend if you're looking to come to the northeast and get some Christmas feels, Jackson, New Hampshire at the Christmas farm in a spa
[00:12:45] and all the other cute little things that New Hampshire has to offer.
[00:12:51] Brandon, I want to go. That sounds awesome.
[00:12:54] I got to be honest. I didn't know about this Christmas farm in a spa nor do I really know anything about New Hampshire but now I know about both of those things and I want to go.
[00:13:03] I'm from New England. I like the New Hampshire quite a bit.
[00:13:06] I've only been once to my friend's dad's New Hampshire house but it was lovely.
[00:13:12] Okay.
[00:13:13] I know.
[00:13:14] New Hampshire house.
[00:13:15] I know some rich people. Okay, Brandon?
[00:13:17] There's nothing you can do about that. There's nothing you can do about that.
[00:13:20] I have an email from David Hatfield. Now, Brandon, do you remember? I don't know if it was the last party. Maybe it was two parties ago.
[00:13:27] We heard about the Christmas Museum in Medina, Ohio.
[00:13:30] I remember it well.
[00:13:31] Okay. Well, David emailed me and said, yeah, that was the one that I emailed you about.
[00:13:36] He said it much more tactfully than that but basically it was, hey, you forgot about my email and you never read it.
[00:13:42] So I went back.
[00:13:43] Oh no.
[00:13:44] Yeah.
[00:13:45] I would play the I'm sorry music but we actually have a real May Culpa coming later in the show.
[00:13:53] So I went back and I looked and David had in fact sent us a very nice email loaded with pictures during the busiest part of the busy season.
[00:14:03] So that's what I'm going to blame it on but we're correcting this mistake today.
[00:14:07] So in his email, David said at Santa School, one of my Santa cousins told me about a Christmas Museum in Medina, Ohio just a couple hours from me.
[00:14:16] I visited and I thought I'd pass this information along.
[00:14:19] They have many movie props from movies such as Santa Claus the movie elf including the purple suit from the deleted hockey scene.
[00:14:27] Brian, I'm not familiar with this. Come back to that. Put a pin in it.
[00:14:30] Jack's Christmas with the cranks, the Santa Claus deck the halls, the Grinch a Christmas story and more.
[00:14:36] You can go down the same slide as Ralphie after meeting Santa and its open year round added bonus you can see and take pictures with cousin Eddie's RV.
[00:14:45] They have a Christmas window displays from New York City department stores.
[00:14:49] I tried to add more pictures but it was exceeding what I could send in one email.
[00:14:53] There is a room with over 100,000 ornaments a room completely packed with toys throughout the years nutcracker statues and more.
[00:15:02] I highly recommend it now this place.
[00:15:05] I just remembered it's called Castle Noelle and it's in Medina, Ohio.
[00:15:09] The web address is just Castle Noelle.com.
[00:15:12] I'm going to post the photos he sent because this is kind of like an addendum to the last time we posted photos.
[00:15:18] These are ones that we didn't have a brand. I'm not familiar with what all these things are here, but most importantly, what is this deleted hockey scene from Elf?
[00:15:27] It's a deleted scene.
[00:15:29] Okay.
[00:15:30] Yeah, context clues.
[00:15:31] But of the elf place hockey and he is indeed wearing a different suit.
[00:15:35] I guess because hockey you wear a purple suit, not a green suit.
[00:15:40] I don't really know why it's a different suit, but it is.
[00:15:43] Maybe they were going to like correct it and post if it made the cut. I don't know.
[00:15:47] Maybe he's just on the purple team.
[00:15:48] Yeah, because when we see Buddy go from the North Pole to New York City, he doesn't even have a bag.
[00:15:52] No, no, no.
[00:15:53] So, but yeah, it's a scene.
[00:15:55] It's a scene.
[00:15:56] I've seen it.
[00:15:57] Okay. Well, Jackson doesn't sound like it was all that good.
[00:15:59] Maybe it was a wise editorial decision to cut it.
[00:16:01] But the suit looks pretty cool.
[00:16:03] And it's in one of these photos that I'm going to post to our Instagram.
[00:16:06] Now, do we know if these Scotty are the actual costumes?
[00:16:12] Like is that the actual turbo man costume from all the way?
[00:16:16] Are these like replicas that they have built?
[00:16:18] I was under the impression that these are originals, but citation needed.
[00:16:22] I don't know.
[00:16:23] Not at auction.
[00:16:24] I mean, the turbo man, you know, it looks incredibly muscular like me already.
[00:16:29] So I don't know where this came from, but I love it.
[00:16:33] I don't know what all the pictures I'm looking at are here.
[00:16:36] There's one, what's next to turbo man here?
[00:16:39] This, it's like a red upside down thing.
[00:16:42] Yeah.
[00:16:43] It looks like the bag on the sleigh from the Grinch.
[00:16:49] Oh, that is what it looks like to me.
[00:16:52] Yes.
[00:16:53] Okay. I'm going to go with the bag of the sleigh.
[00:16:55] The Castle Noel does say it's housing the world's largest privately owned
[00:16:59] collection of Hollywood Christmas movie props and costumes, which does make it
[00:17:03] seem like they are the actual props and costumes, right?
[00:17:07] Not replicas.
[00:17:08] Yeah.
[00:17:09] I think so.
[00:17:10] They're not saying they're the world's largest museum of replicas.
[00:17:12] We really need to interview the person behind this because I have so many questions.
[00:17:18] Will Ferrell, which is the case, you know, because the camera famously adds,
[00:17:22] you know, 15 pounds or 10 pounds.
[00:17:24] The elf costume looks so tiny.
[00:17:27] It really does.
[00:17:28] Will Ferrell is about my size and I don't think I would fit in that to save my life.
[00:17:33] They are really tight leggings, but guys, we're going to get to the bottom of this.
[00:17:37] There's a lot.
[00:17:38] I have a lot of questions.
[00:17:39] The slide though is so great.
[00:17:42] Like I'm looking at the pictures again on the website.
[00:17:44] I know I've been on this website before, but the slide is so cool from the Christmas
[00:17:48] story.
[00:17:49] Scottie, you would lose your mind.
[00:17:50] I would absolutely lose my mind.
[00:17:52] We really need to go on a road trip.
[00:17:54] Jacks put some gas in the RV and pick us up.
[00:17:56] Okay.
[00:17:57] I don't think I would be as long as I don't have to drive and I could just co-pilot
[00:18:00] because I don't have a license.
[00:18:01] Well, that's fine because Bran is going to drive because you and I need to be chauffeur
[00:18:06] around like rock stars in a tour bus.
[00:18:08] That's right.
[00:18:09] We're going to get to the bottom.
[00:18:10] We're going to do an interview.
[00:18:12] It has to happen, I think.
[00:18:14] So David, thank you for sending this in.
[00:18:16] Thank you for very tactfully reminding me that I'm a doofus and that I had
[00:18:20] completely missed your email.
[00:18:22] These photos are fantastic.
[00:18:23] Please, everybody check them out on our Instagram, which will be in the show
[00:18:27] notes because I can't remember it off the top of my head.
[00:18:29] David is so jolly.
[00:18:31] He has the best smile.
[00:18:32] David is a legit Santa.
[00:18:34] Yeah, you can see it.
[00:18:35] Yeah.
[00:18:36] You can tell you can feel the energy.
[00:18:38] And like not one of those gimmicky ones either, but one that like just
[00:18:42] radiates warmth and goodness.
[00:18:43] Yeah.
[00:18:44] He seems like an awesome person.
[00:18:45] David, can you...
[00:18:46] It says it's only a couple hours from your house.
[00:18:48] Maybe we can stop, use the restroom at your house, and then we'll all go
[00:18:51] together or something, you know?
[00:18:52] I'm gonna drink a lot of coffee.
[00:18:53] Yeah, I was like, man, you're really worried about restrooms.
[00:18:56] Dude, I'm going to be 50 in two years.
[00:18:58] Okay?
[00:18:59] You got to start playing in these things.
[00:19:00] Okay?
[00:19:01] It's fair.
[00:19:02] Now you're right.
[00:19:07] Our next segment today.
[00:19:08] Woo.
[00:19:09] This one's going to be a bummer.
[00:19:10] Can you introduce Christmas music and TV, Brian?
[00:19:13] It's going to be a bummer.
[00:19:15] Trust me.
[00:19:16] Brian, if you need me, I'm right with you.
[00:19:18] Okay.
[00:19:19] I'm nervous.
[00:19:22] All right.
[00:19:23] It's going to be just fine.
[00:19:27] Drop that beat.
[00:19:28] Christmas music, blasting TV lights, flashing tunes so catchy.
[00:19:31] The show so amazing from Charlie Brown to Home Alone.
[00:19:35] It's a festive rhythm.
[00:19:37] You're not alone.
[00:19:38] I'm in the TV zone.
[00:19:41] TV and music.
[00:19:43] I don't know.
[00:19:45] I love it.
[00:19:46] It was okay.
[00:19:47] It was really good.
[00:19:48] Thanks, Jax.
[00:19:49] Yeah, let's get the unpleasantness out of the way.
[00:19:51] Jax, would you mind reading this email to me from Lynn Austin?
[00:19:55] I would love to.
[00:19:56] Hi, Lynn.
[00:19:57] TV, Scotty.
[00:19:58] It broke my heart to hear you raging against all I want for Christmas is you.
[00:20:04] Wow.
[00:20:05] My brother, Thatcher, married the love of his life, Brittany, on December 24th, 1994.
[00:20:10] Every Christmas at our family dinner, he talks about how stressed out he was trying
[00:20:14] to come up with words that truly expressed his feelings for wanting to spend his life with
[00:20:18] Britt as part of their vows.
[00:20:20] So he started writing his wedding vows with the first refrain of the song, I don't want
[00:20:25] a lot for Christmas.
[00:20:26] There is just one thing I need.
[00:20:28] I don't care about the presents underneath the Christmas tree.
[00:20:31] I just want you for my own more than you would ever know.
[00:20:34] Make my wish come true.
[00:20:36] All I want for Christmas is you.
[00:20:38] I think you can surely agree that these are some potent love words.
[00:20:41] Their first dance of the wedding was to Vince Vance and Valiant's All I Want for Christmas
[00:20:45] is You.
[00:20:46] It was so romantic, and it brought everyone to tears.
[00:20:50] This coming December, they will celebrate 30 years of what a bliss.
[00:20:53] Oh my goodness.
[00:20:54] Congratulations, Thatcher and Brittany.
[00:20:55] As a special anniversary surprise to them, my other brother Barrett is scoring a special
[00:20:59] arrangement of the song for the Austin family Christmas Cazoo a Palooza.
[00:21:04] Oh, I hope you don't listen to this podcast and find out.
[00:21:06] Yeah.
[00:21:07] Which as you know is our family's beloved Christmas tradition.
[00:21:10] Don't be such a hater.
[00:21:11] Wow.
[00:21:13] That's Lynn saying it, but also me.
[00:21:16] OK. All right.
[00:21:17] So, Brian, I'm going to try out this diddy that we haven't played in a while.
[00:21:21] I'm sorry.
[00:21:25] That's a good use of it this week, Scotty.
[00:21:33] We're such a fool.
[00:21:34] OK. Now, I think what I've railed against is the overplaying of the Mariah Carey version.
[00:21:40] I agree. The lyrics.
[00:21:42] Beautiful. The sentiment for use in wedding vows.
[00:21:46] Gorgeous. Makes my heart swell.
[00:21:48] So I stand behind my distaste of the song, but I will say, yeah, really nice.
[00:21:53] And I'm going to give total props to your brother Thatcher.
[00:21:56] Nicely played, sir.
[00:21:58] So I think we can move on.
[00:21:59] Brandy, you like the song?
[00:22:01] I don't love it. No, I do.
[00:22:03] I do. However.
[00:22:05] Hold on.
[00:22:06] I'm sorry.
[00:22:08] I'm so sorry.
[00:22:10] I'm just a little worn out.
[00:22:12] There's other versions of the song that I really like.
[00:22:14] Yeah, so it's not like it's just I'm a little worn out.
[00:22:16] I do really like the Vins Vans and the Valiant's All I Want for Christmas is you.
[00:22:20] A totally different song and better.
[00:22:22] Yeah, same name.
[00:22:23] Why didn't they dance to the Mariah Carey version is what I want to know.
[00:22:26] Well, they got both.
[00:22:27] They're covering all their bases in regards to the All I Want for Christmas.
[00:22:31] They really are.
[00:22:32] Yeah, if you're going to get copyright strikes, you might as well get it
[00:22:35] for all of them rather than just one.
[00:22:36] Yeah, so, Lynn, nice email.
[00:22:39] Thank you.
[00:22:40] I will say, sure, point taken.
[00:22:43] There are other uses of the song that are very lovely and this is one of them.
[00:22:46] Good for you. I'm proud of you.
[00:22:48] Hey, you know what?
[00:22:49] I'm nothing if not a person who can be persuaded.
[00:22:54] It's a good quality.
[00:22:55] OK, the next email is from Joe Fulton.
[00:22:58] Joe Fulton is the Christmas aficionado on YouTube, Jax.
[00:23:02] And he does this amazing job.
[00:23:04] You were there at Bramblefest last year when we played.
[00:23:07] Was it Bewitched?
[00:23:08] Maybe. I think so.
[00:23:09] It was incredible.
[00:23:11] Well, he reviewed the Love Boat episode, The Christmas Presence,
[00:23:16] not present with a T, presents from 1982.
[00:23:20] So let's hear that.
[00:23:24] Making another run in the Christmas cruise aboard the Royal Princess.
[00:23:28] It's exciting and new.
[00:23:30] So come aboard and hear my review and recap of the Christmas
[00:23:32] presents from the Love Boat.
[00:23:34] Here's the theme song.
[00:23:35] Feel free to sing along.
[00:23:44] Every episode of the Love Boat tells different stories
[00:23:46] with special guest stars before the passengers board and sail to Mexico.
[00:23:50] Gopher has a giant Christmas tree delivered into the lobby.
[00:23:53] He forgot to purchase the ornaments, which irritates Captain
[00:23:56] Stuping who wants the ship decorated for the holidays.
[00:23:59] Don't go to the decorations.
[00:24:01] I was in charge of getting the tree.
[00:24:02] You were supposed to get the decorations.
[00:24:03] No, I was in charge of decorating the ship.
[00:24:05] You were in charge of decorating the tree.
[00:24:08] Mickey Rooney plays a mysterious
[00:24:09] passenger Angelarium Dominicus who magically makes things happen,
[00:24:13] including adding his name to the ship roster.
[00:24:16] Here it is. It's right there, Captain.
[00:24:20] Dominicus Angelora.
[00:24:22] How could you miss it?
[00:24:24] Look, it wasn't there.
[00:24:26] Donnie Osmond and Marine McCormick, Marcia Brady
[00:24:29] free Brady Bunch fans, plays Jim and Laurie,
[00:24:31] a young couple who hope this cruise can save their marriage
[00:24:34] as they're headed to divorce.
[00:24:35] Jim is upset that Laurie and nurse spends more time
[00:24:38] taking care of her patients and not taking care of him.
[00:24:41] I want a normal wedded wife, not a working partner.
[00:24:45] Well, I think we can discuss it calmly.
[00:24:47] Discuss enough discussion.
[00:24:50] I want you to quit your job.
[00:24:51] I want you home.
[00:24:53] Keenan Wynn and Henry Gibson are crooks trying
[00:24:56] to smuggle stolen gold into Mexico.
[00:24:59] They melt down the gold in their cabin,
[00:25:01] molding it into a nativity set and scheming
[00:25:03] the trick of group of nuns to unknowingly smuggling it off
[00:25:06] the ship because who would check the bags of a couple of nuns?
[00:25:10] Start making the nativity scene.
[00:25:12] You make the holy family, the animals,
[00:25:14] the manger, the straw, the work.
[00:25:16] What customs official is going to question two dear nuns
[00:25:20] with a group of little orphans?
[00:25:23] Theresa Wright and Jan Rooney play sister Regina and Bernadette,
[00:25:27] sailing with a group of orphans and members
[00:25:29] of the Good Shepherd Boys Choir and routes to their home
[00:25:32] in Alcopoco.
[00:25:33] This includes the young boy, Rodrigo,
[00:25:35] who has an amazing singing voice,
[00:25:37] but his throat begins to close up,
[00:25:38] forcing the doctor to stop flirting with the passengers
[00:25:41] and perform a tracheostomy.
[00:25:43] His vocal cords are in secondary paralysis.
[00:25:46] No more singing?
[00:25:47] He'll be lucky to be able to talk.
[00:25:50] Luckily, Marine McCormick's character,
[00:25:52] Laurie, aids the doc with the procedure.
[00:25:54] This leads to her husband, Jim,
[00:25:56] realizing the importance of her job and they adopt Rodrigo.
[00:26:01] The nuns take the gold off the ship through the customs
[00:26:04] and just as the crooks attempt to steal it,
[00:26:06] Mickey Rooney's Angelerium Dominicus uses his magic
[00:26:09] to prevent the crooks from stealing it.
[00:26:11] Heals Rodrigo's throat so he can sing on Christmas Eve
[00:26:14] and magically disappears.
[00:26:25] This is awesome.
[00:26:28] I have a feeling it's in somebody else's hand.
[00:26:32] The episode ends with the crew discovering
[00:26:34] the Christmas tree magically decorated
[00:26:36] and on top, a creepy looking puppet
[00:26:38] with Mickey Rooney's head giving a wink.
[00:26:41] Dad, what happened to Mr. Dominicus?
[00:26:43] He just disappeared back at the convent.
[00:26:45] When I spoke to him before he left,
[00:26:46] he said to say goodbye to all of you.
[00:26:48] He also said he'd always be around
[00:26:51] if we knew where to look for him.
[00:26:53] So, final thoughts.
[00:26:55] This may sound like a crazy episode,
[00:26:57] but in my opinion this is fairly normal for the love boat.
[00:26:59] It's not an awful episode.
[00:27:01] In fact, I really enjoyed the Christmas magic.
[00:27:04] I give this episode a B minus.
[00:27:07] That's my review of the Love Boat Christmas Presence
[00:27:09] from season six,
[00:27:11] which Christmas episode should I review next?
[00:27:13] You can easily find the episode on YouTube.
[00:27:15] If you watch it, let me know what you think.
[00:27:17] I'm the Christmas aficionado
[00:27:19] and remember, stay off the Nile List.
[00:27:23] Now, I know it was a little bit longer than normal
[00:27:26] and I know the reason why to this, Scotty.
[00:27:28] It was an hour long episode, so it's a little harder.
[00:27:31] But Joe has been on a love boat kick recently.
[00:27:35] He has a YouTube podcast live thing
[00:27:39] he's been doing lately,
[00:27:41] the Christmas Summit podcast,
[00:27:43] and I was just on it.
[00:27:45] He was talking about how he's been
[00:27:47] really into the love boat lately.
[00:27:49] And I think maybe that just oozed out a little bit.
[00:27:51] I'm a little excited about the thing that you're really into.
[00:27:54] I think that's what we saw here with the love boat.
[00:27:56] Another fabulous review,
[00:27:58] but a little bit longer than we're used to
[00:28:00] in regards to the Christmas aficionado.
[00:28:02] And I don't think that's a bad thing.
[00:28:03] I've never watched the love boat.
[00:28:04] It's okay.
[00:28:05] Well, it doesn't have Ted McGinley.
[00:28:08] Isn't he?
[00:28:09] And he was the...
[00:28:10] You're a big Ted head.
[00:28:11] I know that about you.
[00:28:12] He became Marcy's second husband
[00:28:13] on Married with Children.
[00:28:14] That's how I know him.
[00:28:15] It's way before your time, Bear Brand.
[00:28:17] Yeah, great.
[00:28:18] I'll take your word for it.
[00:28:19] Also way before my time, Scott.
[00:28:21] Don't make it seem like Grant's so young
[00:28:24] and I'm so old.
[00:28:25] I wouldn't say you're so old, Jax.
[00:28:28] Us youngins got to stick together, Jax.
[00:28:30] That's right.
[00:28:31] We're just full itty-bitty babies.
[00:28:32] We're little babies.
[00:28:33] We're little babies.
[00:28:34] I was six years old in 1982
[00:28:37] when this episode would have aired.
[00:28:38] Obviously, I didn't see it live,
[00:28:40] but it sounds cool.
[00:28:41] I'd like to check it out.
[00:28:42] Thank you, Joe, for doing that.
[00:28:43] You always do such a wonderful job.
[00:28:45] Please check out the Christmas aficionado on YouTube.
[00:28:47] We love Joe.
[00:28:48] I did just see he just posted a video this week
[00:28:51] on his YouTube channel called
[00:28:53] The Good Parts of Jingle All the Way.
[00:28:55] The video is only 18 minutes long,
[00:28:57] and I think you're missing about an hour
[00:28:59] and some change because the entire movie is good.
[00:29:03] Yeah, and if you click into that,
[00:29:05] you'll see who the special guest was.
[00:29:07] Oh, really?
[00:29:08] It was me.
[00:29:09] Thank you.
[00:29:10] You got...
[00:29:11] I didn't get invited to whatever summit
[00:29:13] Brand's talking about here.
[00:29:15] I am pretty mad that you were invited on
[00:29:21] to talk about the best Christmas movie of all time.
[00:29:24] I think he wanted an unbiased review,
[00:29:26] and we can all agree you're not going to get one
[00:29:28] from Brandon Gray.
[00:29:29] Unbiased my butt, Scott!
[00:29:31] Unbiased my butt.
[00:29:33] I've never heard those words strung together,
[00:29:36] and I like it, Brandon.
[00:29:37] Oh, you know what?
[00:29:38] Maybe you could go on his show
[00:29:39] and review the Jingle All the Way too.
[00:29:42] It's a hard pass.
[00:29:43] Yeah, that's what I thought.
[00:29:44] All right, moving right along there,
[00:29:46] we have another audio clip today
[00:29:48] from Lenora Gilbert.
[00:29:50] Oh, good.
[00:29:51] Lenora does a wonderful job,
[00:29:53] and I want to point this out.
[00:29:55] Lenora had sent this for the last party episode,
[00:29:57] and I didn't get it in time.
[00:30:00] So this has been sitting on the shelf for a month,
[00:30:03] and I'm sorry, Lenora.
[00:30:05] Lenora always goes out of her way
[00:30:06] to do this really nice stuff for us,
[00:30:08] and I felt like I completely let her down by not getting it.
[00:30:10] She's the Christmas freak on the street, Scotty,
[00:30:13] and you left her out on the street in the cold?
[00:30:15] She is the Christmas freak on the streets.
[00:30:17] Yeah, she sent us in this audio story
[00:30:19] about a YouTube series called Christmas Obsessives.
[00:30:23] Hello, all you lovely Christmas morning party people.
[00:30:27] It's Lenora here,
[00:30:28] your Arizona Christmas freak on the street,
[00:30:30] and I'm here today to tell you
[00:30:32] about some other Christmas freaks.
[00:30:34] One of my favorite shows to watch
[00:30:36] when I need a blast of Christmas cheer
[00:30:38] is found on YouTube,
[00:30:40] and it's called Christmas Obsessives.
[00:30:43] I'll send along a link to the show.
[00:30:46] It is part of the Real Stories series.
[00:30:49] The show starts off with Andy Park,
[00:30:52] a man who celebrates Christmas every day.
[00:30:55] He starts every day off in the morning
[00:30:57] with a mince pie and a glass of brandy,
[00:30:59] followed by opening presents, singing Christmas songs.
[00:31:03] His whole house is decorated for Christmas every day,
[00:31:06] and Andy eats a Christmas dinner every single day.
[00:31:10] He says he's eaten over 8,000 turkeys
[00:31:12] and over 250,000 Brussels sprouts
[00:31:15] since he started this adventure in 1994.
[00:31:18] Then there's 72-year-old Sylvia,
[00:31:21] who displays over 2,500 Christmas baubles,
[00:31:24] that's Christmas ornaments for us,
[00:31:26] that she hangs from the ceiling of her house.
[00:31:29] It's a beautiful sea of Christmas to look up at.
[00:31:33] Not quite a look for me personally
[00:31:35] as I could not deal with the thousands of pinholes
[00:31:38] in my ceiling after the season was over each year.
[00:31:41] The show follows 80-year-old Ron,
[00:31:44] who is Britain's longest serving father Christmas,
[00:31:47] or as we would say, Santa.
[00:31:50] He has been at it for over 50 years now
[00:31:52] and helps others transform into the merry old gentleman.
[00:31:57] It has Paul and Victoria open their 52-room mansion
[00:32:01] for Christmas to the public for tours every year.
[00:32:04] Each room has its own Christmas theme,
[00:32:07] such as the shoes-and-handbag room,
[00:32:09] the seaside room, the teddy bears' room,
[00:32:12] and they have over 70 Christmas trees decorated.
[00:32:16] The show also follows 17-year-old Josh
[00:32:19] with a passion for lights
[00:32:21] who creates a larger and larger
[00:32:23] outdoor Christmas display every year,
[00:32:25] and he does it to raise money for charity.
[00:32:28] It's really a fun show celebrating the spirit of Christmas,
[00:32:32] and it's a great gift to give it a view if you can.
[00:32:35] Thank you to everybody.
[00:32:37] You are also kind to me with your words of Christmas.
[00:32:40] Cheers! Merry Christmas!
[00:32:43] Bran, I love a show that makes me feel better about my own life,
[00:32:48] and that's what that does.
[00:32:51] Now, I'm not here to yuck anybody's yum,
[00:32:54] but I can't imagine celebrating Christmas every day eating it.
[00:32:58] I don't even like a turkey dinner once a year,
[00:33:00] and I'm definitely not going to eat it every single day.
[00:33:03] The mince pies sound a nice thing.
[00:33:05] I'm not familiar with this documentary,
[00:33:07] but I am familiar with this specific story about this guy
[00:33:10] because I was doing some research for a project a little while ago.
[00:33:14] He also finishes the day, I believe,
[00:33:18] with the Queen's Speech every day.
[00:33:21] It's very committed.
[00:33:24] I do like the idea of buying yourself a present that you open every day.
[00:33:29] That's the definition of treating yourself.
[00:33:33] Jax, what do you think about this?
[00:33:35] I think it's lovely for him.
[00:33:37] I think, unlike you, Scotty, the mince pie,
[00:33:40] I heard that that was the way he was starting the day,
[00:33:43] and I was like, okay, if I was doing it,
[00:33:46] I would start the day with a peppermint mocha
[00:33:48] and then just listen to music throughout.
[00:33:50] I think I could do that every day.
[00:33:52] I love Christmas music.
[00:33:53] Peppermint mocha is great.
[00:33:55] That's for me what would be like you have
[00:33:57] your burning Christmas candles by Panda Lily,
[00:34:01] which I love Panda Lily candles.
[00:34:03] Shout out to my boy Panda and his family.
[00:34:06] But the mince pie, the turkey dinner,
[00:34:09] honestly, I don't know how he sustains himself.
[00:34:13] If he's happy doing it though, I am thrilled for him.
[00:34:17] Is he okay?
[00:34:18] Yeah, it does make me question what somebody might think of this,
[00:34:21] but I'm not here to psychoanalyze the gentleman.
[00:34:24] I definitely am here to psychoanalyze him.
[00:34:26] I would also have to assume that he's not cooking a turkey
[00:34:30] every day, right?
[00:34:31] Like he does one and then it's leftovers for the week
[00:34:35] or something like that.
[00:34:36] Like obviously he has to have some sort of job
[00:34:39] to sustain this type of life.
[00:34:41] Turkey salesman.
[00:34:42] Doing a, cooking a turkey every day in and of itself
[00:34:46] would be a full-time job.
[00:34:47] So I have to imagine he's figured out the science
[00:34:50] of how can I do this every day while also still,
[00:34:54] you know, having a job or living a life so that I can do
[00:34:57] the thing I want to do every day.
[00:34:59] And to that I say kudos because gotta be honest,
[00:35:02] Scotty, we're kind of doing that too ourselves.
[00:35:04] We figured out a way to every week talk about Christmas
[00:35:06] and I think there might be some that think
[00:35:08] that's a little bit insane.
[00:35:10] So we're not that far removed.
[00:35:12] That's true.
[00:35:13] I might be careful about where I'm chucking stones,
[00:35:16] but I have to imagine this guy probably is not married.
[00:35:19] Do you think that's a fair assumption?
[00:35:21] I'm going to stay out of this one.
[00:35:22] Well, because here's what I'm picturing.
[00:35:24] Honey, what's for dinner tonight?
[00:35:26] Well, you know.
[00:35:28] Oh come on, can we have anything else besides turkey
[00:35:30] and stovetop?
[00:35:31] No.
[00:35:32] Quiet! The queen's talking.
[00:35:34] All right. Well, why don't we not touch that one?
[00:35:37] Lenora, thank you so much for sending that in.
[00:35:39] I am so sorry that it took us a month to get to this
[00:35:41] and I feel like we robbed the world of an extra Lenora.
[00:35:44] So if you ever want to do two
[00:35:46] and we'll play them in one month,
[00:35:47] I think that's completely fair.
[00:35:48] No one's going to be upset about double Lenora.
[00:35:50] I would even do triple Lenora.
[00:35:52] Triples is best. Triples is best.
[00:35:54] Yeah, that's right.
[00:35:56] The last one today that we have, this is pretty special
[00:35:59] because Jax, we've kind of gotten a house band now
[00:36:03] for the Christmas Morning podcast
[00:36:05] and it's a band called Little Red Ambulance.
[00:36:07] They're from the UK
[00:36:09] and it turns out what happened was
[00:36:11] one of the members of the band wrote in
[00:36:14] kind of covertly and said how great the band is
[00:36:17] but didn't tell us he was part of the band
[00:36:19] which was awesome and we fully support
[00:36:21] and don't hold against him at all.
[00:36:23] No, I do that kind of stuff all the time.
[00:36:25] I see that move. I love that move.
[00:36:27] Game sees game.
[00:36:28] Jax, would you mind reading the email from Lloyd
[00:36:30] from Little Red Ambulance for us?
[00:36:32] I'd be happy to.
[00:36:33] I asked him if he could give us some backstory
[00:36:35] about the song A Snowman Stole My Wife
[00:36:37] because they said if you want to play the song
[00:36:39] we'd be thrilled and of course
[00:36:41] we're going to play the song in its entirety today.
[00:36:44] Oh, we're getting a little background with this.
[00:36:46] Okay, I love it.
[00:36:47] David and Phil met abroad for work 15 years ago
[00:36:50] and bonded over a shared enjoyment of writing
[00:36:52] and performing songs to pass the time away.
[00:36:55] On their return to the UK
[00:36:57] they formed LRA, Little Red Ambulance
[00:37:00] with Lloyd, Ben and Rosser,
[00:37:02] Dave's mates from school.
[00:37:04] I love the word mates.
[00:37:06] And after recording their first original Christmas song
[00:37:08] pledged to meet up every year as a minimum
[00:37:11] to write and record another song
[00:37:13] along with shooting a light-hearted silly video
[00:37:15] to go with.
[00:37:16] It forms part of an annual tradition
[00:37:18] of a weekend of revelry and Christmas jumpers
[00:37:21] usually in the heat of summer which we love.
[00:37:24] We do that at Bramble Fest.
[00:37:25] COVID got in the way for a couple of years.
[00:37:28] But we're currently underway pending our 13th.
[00:37:31] They are all on Bandcamp
[00:37:33] and all of their streaming services and YouTube.
[00:37:35] We're unsigned but had success
[00:37:37] with Sailing Home for Christmas
[00:37:39] making the top 20 of the UK sales turn 2022.
[00:37:41] That's amazing.
[00:37:42] That's awesome.
[00:37:43] And last year the song won the prestigious
[00:37:45] UK Songwriting Contest Christmas category.
[00:37:47] Okay, that is so awesome.
[00:37:49] We have 11 great non-Christmas songs
[00:37:51] but it's a shared love of the festive season
[00:37:53] that has captured our imagination
[00:37:54] and we love the idea that random pockets
[00:37:56] of people across the world
[00:37:58] have our songs in their playlists
[00:38:00] and that every year they look forward
[00:38:02] to our latest release, usually in early December.
[00:38:04] Our recent releases have raised funds
[00:38:06] for charities close to our hearts.
[00:38:08] Okay these are such great guys
[00:38:10] and we're humbled that recently
[00:38:12] we've asked for music teachers at schools
[00:38:14] wanting to use our music for their choirs
[00:38:16] to sing and can't wait to see how they perform our music.
[00:38:18] Our goals are similar to yours.
[00:38:21] Bring the uplifting joy of Christmas
[00:38:23] to whoever wants it and whenever
[00:38:25] and have fun while doing it.
[00:38:28] Like you, we love feedback
[00:38:30] so if any of your listeners here
[00:38:32] of us through your show
[00:38:33] we'd be delighted to hear their thoughts.
[00:38:35] Lloyd.
[00:38:36] Well, that was very cool.
[00:38:38] Very cool.
[00:38:39] This is not a band
[00:38:41] that is just collecting money like Scrooge McDuck
[00:38:44] and diving into their pool of gold.
[00:38:46] They're giving their songs
[00:38:48] to be sung by kids at school
[00:38:50] and they're giving money to charity and oh, I love it.
[00:38:52] Lloyd, thank you so, so much.
[00:38:54] Bran, I am happy to designate
[00:38:56] Little Red Ambulance, the official band
[00:38:58] of the Christmas Morning Podcast.
[00:39:00] We've got to figure out a way
[00:39:01] to get them to Bramblefest to play us in.
[00:39:03] It's probably a heck of a trip for them.
[00:39:05] That's a dream.
[00:39:06] Jax has some in with the UK though
[00:39:08] so maybe we can figure something out.
[00:39:10] We'll make it happen.
[00:39:11] Yeah, maybe they could be my wedding band
[00:39:13] if I ever planned my wedding.
[00:39:14] Oh my gosh.
[00:39:15] Little Red Ambulance baby.
[00:39:16] That's right.
[00:39:17] If I ever have not.
[00:39:18] When is that scheduled for?
[00:39:20] Well, we've decided on the podcast.
[00:39:22] When was it Bran?
[00:39:23] It's coming up, I think.
[00:39:24] That was a couple of years ago.
[00:39:25] Are we doing it at Bramblefest this year?
[00:39:27] Alex.
[00:39:28] Yeah.
[00:39:29] I am an official dutist priest
[00:39:31] and I am able to perform ceremonies.
[00:39:33] So I mean, just got to get my dress.
[00:39:35] That's right.
[00:39:36] Kind of have to now.
[00:39:37] Kind of have to.
[00:39:39] I think it's the perfect way to end
[00:39:41] the Christmas party episode of
[00:39:43] Recorded Life at Bramblefest.
[00:39:44] With a wedding.
[00:39:45] With a wedding.
[00:39:46] Oh, the tears.
[00:39:47] I wouldn't be able to stop crying.
[00:39:48] It would be wonderful.
[00:39:49] Let's hear a snowman stole my wife
[00:39:51] from Little Red Ambulance.
[00:40:09] And when she came to see it
[00:40:11] It gave her shiver as it came to life
[00:40:14] He was charming and funny
[00:40:16] Till all of a sudden
[00:40:17] He's living with my wife
[00:40:21] This Christmas
[00:40:22] A snowman stole my wife
[00:40:25] He came to life in the morning
[00:40:27] And they were gone till the end of the night
[00:40:31] This Christmas
[00:40:33] A snowman stole my wife
[00:40:35] But the children on him
[00:40:37] It's the best day of my life
[00:40:42] No more getting told off
[00:40:44] The never-wrapping presents right
[00:40:46] I get to wear my Christmas jumper
[00:40:49] The one you say's too tight
[00:40:52] No more missing thy heart
[00:40:54] While you have your Christmas pout
[00:40:57] No more driving around the country
[00:40:59] You can rally never like me
[00:41:00] My in-laws smell like sprouts
[00:41:03] This Christmas
[00:41:05] A snowman stole my wife
[00:41:08] He came to life in the morning
[00:41:10] And they were gone till the end of the night
[00:41:14] This Christmas
[00:41:16] A snowman stole my wife
[00:41:18] But the children on him
[00:41:20] It's the best day of my life
[00:41:22] I can do all my shopping online
[00:41:25] Decorate the tree as I like
[00:41:28] I'll eat all the chocolates
[00:41:29] It's Christmas all the time, yeah
[00:41:35] Christmas
[00:41:37] Christmas
[00:41:39] Christmas
[00:41:41] Christmas
[00:41:43] Late on in the evening
[00:41:45] And I fill those festive blues
[00:41:47] No one to fill my empty stocking
[00:41:50] No one to share my Christmas snooze
[00:41:54] When I hear the doorbell
[00:41:56] My heart leaps out my chest
[00:41:58] The snowman defrosted
[00:42:00] You tell me you love me
[00:42:02] It's the best
[00:42:06] This Christmas
[00:42:08] A snowman stole my wife
[00:42:10] He came to life in the morning
[00:42:13] And they were gone till the end of the night
[00:42:17] This Christmas
[00:42:19] A snowman stole my wife
[00:42:21] But the children on him
[00:42:23] It's the best day of my life
[00:42:25] This Christmas
[00:42:27] A snowman stole my wife
[00:42:29] He came to life in the morning
[00:42:31] And they were gone till the end of the night
[00:42:35] This Christmas
[00:42:37] A snowman stole my wife
[00:42:39] But the children on him
[00:42:41] It's the best day of my life
[00:42:48] Brian, absolute banger.
[00:42:50] So I have to be honest with you, Scott.
[00:42:52] I think these guys might be me,
[00:42:55] the British versions of me.
[00:42:57] Because similarly, I also put out Christmas music every year
[00:43:00] and I've also written a song about falling in love with a snowman.
[00:43:03] And so, I don't know who else does that,
[00:43:06] aside from myself and the little red ambulance.
[00:43:09] But I think there might be a need for a collaboration,
[00:43:13] at the very least.
[00:43:15] Yeah, I feel like this is some sort of like
[00:43:18] the road not taken thing.
[00:43:20] Like this is another branch of brand's life
[00:43:22] that could have happened.
[00:43:24] I'm glad you are where you are right now
[00:43:26] because I like my life with you in it.
[00:43:28] I like it too, Scotty.
[00:43:29] Just like Jack's.
[00:43:30] But I just love this.
[00:43:32] I mean, brothers from across the pond.
[00:43:34] These people are wonderful.
[00:43:35] I love it.
[00:43:36] Let's collab, baby.
[00:43:37] And the song is awesome.
[00:43:38] This is not like we're just paying lip service
[00:43:40] to somebody who's been really nice to us.
[00:43:42] That song is freaking awesome.
[00:43:43] Yeah, it is really good.
[00:43:44] I'm not gonna lie before we listen to it.
[00:43:46] It's like, please let it be good.
[00:43:47] Please let it be good.
[00:43:48] And then it's good.
[00:43:49] It's really good.
[00:43:50] Because you already asked him to be your wedding band.
[00:43:52] And so it would have been a real tough.
[00:43:53] I know.
[00:43:54] I'd already committed to it.
[00:43:55] A snowman stole my life!
[00:43:57] What if it was like that?
[00:43:58] And then you're like, you're stuck with it.
[00:44:00] You're stuck with it.
[00:44:01] I would do it.
[00:44:02] I just doubled out and like, wow.
[00:44:04] I know.
[00:44:05] I know you're too kind.
[00:44:06] You're too kind.
[00:44:07] But they're actually really good.
[00:44:08] Yeah, that was great.
[00:44:09] We'll play more Little Red Ambulance music on future party episodes
[00:44:14] because we have permission to.
[00:44:15] And I just want to say this in a Little Red Ambulance.
[00:44:18] If they want to be a real house band
[00:44:20] and record a new intro for the upcoming season.
[00:44:23] That would be so cool, wouldn't it?
[00:44:25] What would that be?
[00:44:26] Is that, would that be season four of Christmas morning?
[00:44:29] We're in season four right now.
[00:44:31] We're in season four?
[00:44:33] Get out of here.
[00:44:34] Anyway, when we start the daily episodes,
[00:44:36] what if we start those daily episodes with a brand new theme song
[00:44:39] written, composed by the Little Red Ambulance?
[00:44:42] It's not a bad idea.
[00:44:44] Well, that would be great.
[00:44:45] It might be nice to ask them first
[00:44:47] before we just put it on them.
[00:44:49] This is less of a telling them more of a request.
[00:44:53] But I am requesting it on the air.
[00:44:55] So there's a little bit of obligation there, I think.
[00:44:57] And so.
[00:44:58] I like your style, Brian.
[00:44:59] You're welcome.
[00:45:00] You're welcome, Little Red Ambulance.
[00:45:02] It's kind of a compelling style versus a,
[00:45:05] well, I mean, thousands of people listened
[00:45:07] during the daily time.
[00:45:08] So couldn't hurt to get your song out there.
[00:45:10] We'll, we'll circle back on this.
[00:45:12] We'll do an admin episode sometime
[00:45:14] and we'll talk about all the upcoming plans.
[00:45:16] That's right.
[00:45:17] Scotty, did we do it?
[00:45:18] We did it, Brian.
[00:45:20] And Jax, we couldn't have done it without you.
[00:45:22] Well, we, well, honestly, we probably could have,
[00:45:24] but we wouldn't want to.
[00:45:25] Yeah, you could have, but why would you want to?
[00:45:27] No, no.
[00:45:28] People don't come here on the 25th to hear me and Brian.
[00:45:31] They want to know who the third chair is.
[00:45:34] That's the big excitement for the month.
[00:45:36] And it was you this month.
[00:45:37] And I can't speak for Brian,
[00:45:39] but I couldn't be more excited.
[00:45:42] Go Jax!
[00:45:43] Go Jax!
[00:45:44] Go Jax!
[00:45:45] Go Jax!
[00:45:46] I'm here with Scotty and I'm here with Brian.
[00:45:49] We're sitting around and we're making a plan
[00:45:51] to celebrate Christmas all year.
[00:45:54] I wouldn't want to do it if I wasn't clear.
[00:45:58] I love it.
[00:46:01] Perfect.
[00:46:02] God, I love Jax.
[00:46:05] Nailed it!
[00:46:06] On that note, everybody, thank you for joining us.
[00:46:09] It was another wonderful party episode in the books.
[00:46:12] Thank you to everybody who sent in content.
[00:46:14] Thank you to Little Red Ambulance
[00:46:16] for letting us use their music.
[00:46:17] Sorry, I should have said it because I hold it so dear.
[00:46:20] Sorry.
[00:46:23] I honestly like what you went with, really.
[00:46:25] We're nothing if not inclusive around here.
[00:46:27] That's right.
[00:46:28] It was just a really interesting way to come out.
[00:46:30] I just didn't see a cover.
[00:46:31] I come out every chance I get on this podcast.
[00:46:34] What if it was?
[00:46:35] What if that's how it is?
[00:46:36] You just stumble your way into it.
[00:46:38] Can you imagine?
[00:46:41] So can you guys edit or what?
[00:46:45] Scotty, I think that is more than enough out of us.
[00:46:48] Especially this week.
[00:46:49] I think the people are sick of us, but good news is we'll be back.
[00:46:52] People are circling the parking lot right now trying to get to work.
[00:46:55] Can you guys please hang this thing up?
[00:46:57] We will be back next week with our regularly scheduled Christmas morning.
[00:47:01] Until then, Merry Christmas!
